Ummm that is a really tough Question dude.My advice is go on Youtube and have a look at what people have done as you need to pull the gear shift apart and solder wires etc etc.Its a real tedious task.

Not as hard as some might assume. Most people settle on buying a PS3 supported Joystick, and assigning it to controller 1 with the wheel (thus no soldering or warranty voiding). Joysticks come naturally with the right motion for a handbrake, so all you really need to do is mod it to look like one. The other buttons can also be assigned for things like the RA menu.

There is many other ways to go about it, soldering or canibalising a controller are both popular but the joystick is the easiest and (starting at about $20) probably the cheapest. Here's one that would work i just found- http://www.ebay.com/itm/181184671167?redirect=mobile

Edit: The sim racing hardware part of this forum is definitely the place to go for information on this and there is many examples of what people have done there.

There are no Handbrakes for wheel's as far as I know you must make it yourself.
See my GTp albums for Flight sim stick to ds3 or big lever to ds3 Handbrake & sequential shifter mods. I only paid $10 for the Flight sim stick off Ebay & the rest is stuff I had lying around the house.(or what you can buy for penny's) So easy & no soldering or dismantling your G27 required. Also by soldering a Handbrake to a button in the shifter you are creating a On/Off Handbrake but when you link to the ds3's R or L stick you are getting an Axis Handbrake so you can pull it a little bit if needed/wanted or just fully rip it up.
If you need any tips or extra pics just pm me.
This is the lever Handbrake, See how the ds3's L3 stick is up ? This is set to Handbrake on ds3 with the ds3 on P1 & the wheel also plugged in.

This is the $10 Logitech attack 3 Flight sim stick I have it as a sequential shifter but it did work as my Handbrake until I wanted a sequential shifter.

If youve seen my G27 setup album & still need help doin this please pm me & I will help.

The e-brake is always on-off, theres no chance to e- brake analoge like forza 4 for example .
Check my DIY handbrake thread , i built one from a real fly-off rally handbrake and simply soldered it to a unassigned button , in my case R3
Cheers kingklingeling

The Handbrake is not an On/Off button the way I & others have it. It uses the R or L stick's axis, by soldering yours to a button you made it an on On/Off switch.

Look's like you cant find the edit button too.

Then i apologize for my false thought , i'm out for soldering :-)
Thanks for the Information an sorry for The double post , did not find the edit button on my iphone app yet .
Cheers

Check out mine

it is connected with additional controller located underneath the stand.

You could make this work by simply linking it to ds3 R or L stick (obv a part that moves roughly the same distance as the R or L stick on the ds3, so closer to the pivot point = less distance & further from the pivot point = greater distance its easy to fine tune.)
But I wouldnt suggest you buy this for a D.I.Y handbrake as I'd say its a bit expensive. & you wont benefit from it being a hydraulic lever in a sim. I'd always recommend something like 1 of my handbrake builds or like Olegonic's above (which is very nice elegent yet functional, I like it well don Olegonic).
