The more threads you make about this, the more people will inquire about it. The more prolific it will become

I had never heard of it until all these threads surfaced.

You guys need to just shut up about it and it will go away..

I agree.

The main goal is to NOT LET people do this cheat. Making threads like this will bump it up, and new people will see to this. We don't want that to happen, especially to people who complain about it.

No It should be well known so people know when there cheated. Also it needs to be well known so PD can fix it.

No one answered my question.

Erm no... Its a problem that needs addressing. It won't just go away. PD need a patch.

Threads like this make the CHEATING known im afraid to say. Then maybe it'll get fixed.

Unfortunatly it will never get fixed, well at least I don't think it will. It doesn't effect enough of the player base to be an issue with the game. If people used it in track racing to get a jump off the line that advantage could easily be lost once you enter the first corner. The only place it has major benifits is for drag racing, and GT5 doesn't curently have an official drag racing mode. So if they are even aware of the glitch, I doubt it's on the top priority list of things to be patched.

If there was a prioritized list, this will be at the bottom or not even on it.

As far as they are concerned, there is no multi player drag racing nor is srf a "problem"

2 great answers from 2 great tuners who I respect highly. Thanks guys. Really is a shame there's no drag mode.

Rumor is that GT6 might incorporate a drag strip with a real tree...but it's merely a rumor ;)

The only way I see to ever get the glitch/cheat patched is to try and make it highly advertised to PD. If they become aware that pressing the e-brake can make you go faster :dunce: They might feel abit embarrassed about their physics engine and fix it.

Curently I imagine less than 1% of GT5's world wide player base even knows about the "e-cheat" (this is just a guess btw) The more it's advertised the more people get frustrated by it, the more chance PD will fix it. But at the same time that could back fire, the more it's advertised the more people use it, and PD doesn't feel the need to fix it :indiff:.

On a side note, has anyone tryed to see if the e-cheat works on a un-updated GT5? Just to see if this has been in the game since day 1, or if it got intruduced through an update (either intentionally or unintentionally) I know accurately spotting the difference between using it and not will be difficult when offline on your own, especially without having the speedtest DLC, but I'm sure it could be done.

I can't help you here my friend. I'd be interested to know too.

Everything you said is my point exactly

I hate to see the real pro tuners hard work and efforts cheated. Whats wrong with that? If people get frustrated about this thread then sorry but its PD's fault not mine. I want things to be fair.

Really, posting another thread won't let this problem go away. This is the 3rd thread about this. Nubs will see this thread, go to google, and search for the e cheat. If you want to share your problem go to the other threads.

And here is your answer: Because they go faster.

To me it dosent matter anymore. Use it or not IDGAF. It is, at the end of the day, just a video game made for amusement and entertainment purposes only. If you lose a race oh well if you win good job but since it wont get fixed and people will use it once they have it figured out there is no way to stop it. So... why bother????

Well said, 👍 👍

Everyone's needs to know how to detect or identify when someone is e-cheating....how do you know? I heard somewhere if the guys engine sounds like its bogging after he's revving really high and still pulling away. Is that true ?

Apparently that's how it work, I personally dont know but that's what I'm in the lookout for.

Yea i believe so u hear a strange sound coming from the vehicle. Also lack of wheel spin is so obvious. People who cheat piss me off.this is why games get ruined, because people can't stand to lose so they figure ways to cheat. more and more people are cheating and it's already effecting the drag community. My favorite game of all time was socom 2 for the ps2. Then people figured ways to cheat and it killed the hole game i know this is irrelevant, but just stating the facts, and i wish they would patch this up, but i doubt GT5 will ever patch this up,just because this game not technically a drag game.

i was race a dude with the e-cheat yesterday. he put it in a no strip and he went up against my black edition. i mean come on, as usual the e-cheater got a better luanch.
