Did anybody else find the Seasonal Event easy?
I won it 1st, the first try.

Is it true it's unrestricted now? If it is I'll try it again, because frankly I found it impossible.

What do you mean by unrestricted? What restrictions were there?

NASCAR one was probably the overall easiest from the 2nd batch of those(when restriction were up). Still fun though running with no aids...

Before you are limited to "stock" NASCAR, with race hard tire. Though I am not sure if there is anything you can upgrade on those anyway...

Yh, I completed it with no aids, just abs 1, but I did select automatic :O

i have no idea how people found this hard?

if you have done the AMG special event you should have some understanding of the track and the right lines to take around the corners, then its a simple matter of learning how to drive the car, and thats not very dificult after a few corners its easy to figure out.

as long as you dont FLOOR the accellerator in first gear the car handles really well for such a massive car.

i was in first place after the second corner of the second lap. my first lap was a 6:21 and my second lap was like a 6:15

no traction control, ABS 1.

trans set to 300km/h max

downforce at max.

lowered suspension a bit,

brakes at 7/7

How I found it hard:

1) using normal PS3 controller
2) I got to 10th place with all my effort, never even saw the rest of the pack
3) Frankly I don't know what to tell you. I honestly can't figure out how you found it so easy. The car drove fine, I just couldn't close the gap, and I was off by so much that I have no clue how to find that much time on the track.

Not all of us are Uber-Elite gamers. Don't get me wrong. Overall I love GT5. My worst fear though is that it'll be made harder, or that GT6 will be made impossible for me to play because the hardcore gamers want things impossibly difficult.

Do you have a steering wheel or use the DS3 controller? I consider myself above average in this game skill-wise but for the time being i'm stuck with a DS3 and I hated doing the NASCAR expert challenges. I got through them all last night and almost put my fist through the wall from getting DQ'd over tapping other cars. I found it hard not to tap other cars b/c with the DS3 any movement of the joystick and the car would dart all over the damn place.

I won it on the first try the first day with the restrictions. I think withotu restrictions I could win it in one lap.

Lol, I used DS3, and I did a lap of 6:19 and 6:18. But I only overtook the guy in 1st place on the long straight, though I saw him from half way of lap 2, i stayed behind to get some draft.

Concerning Ritterkreuz, try do the seasonal event now, you'll probably get the hang of it this time, just like ragnar666 said, don't 100% throttle on first gear, and try not to totally floor it half way through a corner, you will slide if you have aids off. (Mad Smoke though :O)

You have to push only moderately to win this one. To do this, you should really know the Ring. If you do - it should be easy.

Go through the AMG Academy! Will help you a lot.

I cant start in cus i changed the oil and know both my nascars have about 900hp instead of the 850hp needed

I'll give it a try, thanks. Sorry if I seemed a little ranty there in my earlier post.

Try it again

i just did it with my 900hp ford.

There should be no restrictions now except for the hard tires

DS3 first go, easy event and really I am no 'god'.

This was discussed in the original thread (with setups etc) but I am guessing that the main problem people are having is with the track. If your driving is really poor I am not sure what to say, but completing the AMG Academy pays big time in an event like this. Track knowledge counts for more at the 'ring than anywhere else.

I guess us old timers had a head start completing Mission 34 in GT4 - but it paid us back loads, and goodness knows what a lot of the GT noobies would say to that if it reappeared as a Seasonal event in GT5.

I completed this event twice:
First time I won by over 30 seconds
Second time by just 15 seconds.

Both times though were with the restrictions in effect. There are many tunes posted for this event by using the search function. I can't guarantee they will work for you (as I don't know your driving style), but I certainly ran well with them using a DS3.

Did you get another million the second time :O?

No restrictions is nice. I won with the restrictions. I enjoyed it so much I went back to do it later but the hp on my nascar has risen above the limit. Now I can play it again :)

(as I don't know your driving style).

The words "extremely aggressive" would best describe my driving style. Always been that way (I think I might have a few rage issues to work out).
