Interestingly, my DFP has almost the exact same circuitry around the gold patch, only with just one motor instead of two. That should mean that I can work out how to modify a G27 by modifying my DFP, but I really need to find the datasheets for these ICs first.

I just got off of the phone with Logitech Support.

(Unsurprisingly) The information regarding circuitry, and the IC is considered proprietary and therefore is SUPER TOP SECRET.

I did find this link to another forum, where there is another gent basically making his own FFB wheel from scratch, rather than hacking the Logitech board:

and for those that can speak (or can at least Google Translate), the same guy in his native language (and much more extensive info/videos regarding his wheel and the build):

In French:

And in English:

Hence the value of an T500s, Elite, and CSW. I just wish they were more powerful. I think they are all well positioned in the market though. But yeah, 3000£ is insane for a modded G27 I agree. Good luck diving into the world of modding, you brave soul! :)

BTW Lemansfanatic just a quick correction on that £3000 motor matter:). it is a motor only, ie a totally different product the Leo's modded G27 parts, which will come later and it's a separate mod all together and , Im sure the price is much much lower than that.

Wow, thanks a pricey motor. Okay two seperate things now I see. I wonder if Leo Bodner or any other modder will ever get into modding Fanatec products?

The big IC is proprietary, or at least the code on it is, but they're manufactured by someone else; Logitech don't manufacture any components from what I've seen so far. The two smaller 8-pin ICs aren't proprietary, though, but Logitech wouldn't give that sort of information out anyway.
