Right, so my new display is in the wheel and it's all working good so far. However, if I'm turning the rotary encoder it randomly changes the display on my left display.

Don't get me wrong, I want it to change - but there doesn't seem to be a pattern. In lap 1 I'm switching from position to laps completed. 5 minutes later it goes from laps completed to speed or KERS but I can't switch back to position etc. (F1 2013 for this example)

The encoders are at 1:1 and 6ms delay right now. I assume that it's easy to say which function should toggle the information displayed on the left / right display, eh? I also want to know which one should do that, to prevent any errors from being made.

What am I missing? I'm sure it's somehow related to the settings but I didn't change them apart from setting the encoder to change the display - that wasn't set in the first place. I've also changed the encoders behaviour to being an encoder instead of a button with the setup tool provided by the Simdisplay guys.

Help would be appreciated. Like I said: it's like sometimes it's switching to a different "information group", i.e. sometimes I can toggle in between laps and position, and a few minutes later it's another "group", i.e. fuel and lap time, but it doesn't make sense. :)

Anyone? Really looking for a solution, extremely annoying. :(
I"m not sure but I think you would have been better off using a rotary switch for that option vice a rotary encoder. In the SLI setup I think you can assign each position on a rotary switch what you want it to do.
I may be off in left field on this since I'm just getting started messing with the switches and encoders.

I'm a bit confused by the options in the software tho. Could you post screenshots of what you're talking about? In the software I was previously using it was all easy - the rotary encoder toggled through all available display settings. :)

I know i'm a bit late, but have you configure the rotary encoder using a rotary encoder Configurator ? I know that sounded like a joke but it is not.
every rotary encoders needs to be configured in terms of how many "pulse per rotation"? (sorry not sure what the term is , I think PPR is for Tach) etc.
I've got sli-pro not the dlx, and you can download the configurator software from bodnar site. sim display should have the same thing.
to check if it's configured properly. go to your control panel and click on the DLX device -> properties and turn the encoder knob to see if both button is blinking when you turn it one way( left only or right only) if they are , that means that your encoders are not configured yet.

Yes, it's set properly using the DLX config tool thingie. I mean...it does work but the EK software just doesn't change it the way I want it to work. :(

Thanks for your idea, Marcus!
