That's a lot of drugs.
Or a normal weekend. That's a lot of drugs.
Volkswagen Hotdog stands, anyone?Cool looking restaurant, but prices seem pretty unappealing for what you get. I don't know, maybe this costing $25 including fees is in line for West Hollywood, but this looks like the same stuff I could get at a Steak N Shake for a lot less.

Don't they usually keep the dumpsters 'round back?Well if you wouldn't buy a car from Elon, would you buy a burger?

Wasn't it shown that it didn't actually break the 2 second mark for 0-60?Lest you think that Electrek only posts negative stuff about Tesla, or is overly down on Elon for what Elon calls "optimism", here's a story from the 2017 archives...

Tesla next-generation Roadster breaks all the records: 0-60 mph in 1.9 sec, 620-mile range, and more
Elon Musk surprised everyone at the Tesla Semi unveiling with his “one more thing” being a prototype of the next...electrek.co
It is yet to be put into production, so it was all hype. But back then, Electrek believed the hype.Wasn't it shown that it didn't actually break the 2 second mark for 0-60?
On the drag-strip, they use a sticky glue on track and on tires to increase friction and grip, resulting in better performance than you'd ever get on normal roads with normal tires, and timing is done with a laser that goes across the starting line. When the car roles forward to a point where the tires obstruct the laser, the cars are considered to be on their mark. Once the cars accelerate and the wheels stop obstructing the laser, the timer starts. Manufacturer's "abuse" this technique by making sure that it's the very leading edge of the front tires blocking the laser, so when they accelerate the entirety of the tire has to pass the laser before the timer starts, giving them on average an extra foot of travel/acceleration before the timer starts.
Engineering Explained did a video on this, working out the math to explain that if you include the extra foot in the time, it'd be closer to 2.3 seconds, and if it was on regular tires on regular roads, it'd be a lot closer (if not more than) 3 seconds. Still very quick, but not what Musk (and to be fair a lot of other manufacturers) claim to be true (as they intentionally remove or hide certain details).
