Email from PSN?

Okay. Im getting impatient because i have been waiting for PSN to send an email to me for 6 hours and now whenever i attempt to sign in it brings up the first blue screen, then when i press the button to continue it says something like "error connecting to servers" or something like that. Anybody having this problem? Its pissing me off.
 
Says it might take up to 24 hours to receive an email.
Read other thread and stop cluttering up the interwebs.
 
If you haven't logged on and tried to sign in then do so, I hadn't received the email for a backup account, but had on all the other accounts I tried to sign in to.

The one that was missing, as soon as I tried to sign in on that ID the email dropped in to my inbox.

I had my inbox open on my PC next to me and PS3 was on infront of me at the same time.

It might have been a coincidence - I don't know, but this is what happened.

Tried to sign in twice and went online and tried to sign in, so that's 3 emails I should be getting and I still haven't gotten a single one.
 
That's ugly, maybe they really meant 24 hours... Normally 24 is just a cover in-case you don't get it after 5 min, maybe they meant 24 lol?
 
The mail will come... I received it late, but it does say it might take up to 24 hours before you receive it in the first place...
 
Yea im getting the same thing. When it says an email will be sent to bla bla bla and i press confrim, the next screen says error with server. Thats if i select "i forgot my password"

If i just fallow the normal steps it says an error 80023156.

I tried going through the ps site and it says an email can take up to 24 hours.


I only thing i can do is wait. I cant even log into the PS3 site to contact them to see whats happening so i dont know what to do now expect wait. Who knows what will happen
 
i had no problem, i tried to sign in & got a prompt to change password. did that & was able to sign in.

the only issue is ps store, still under maintanence.

I could make a new account but then all my saved game data will be lost and im not starting GT5 and BO all over again.

I am in the same boat... My 60GB Fat YLOD'd on me during the time PSN was offline... So I was waiting for it to go back online so I could use my backed up game save for GT5.... After I got the Email to change my password everything went ok.
 
Over 24 hours waiting for e-mail for my sub account; Master was able to change password right away; so more waiting I guesss!
 
I got sent an email this morning within a few minutes of trying to change my password. After seeing all these posts about it taking forever, I didn't check until about 5 hours later. I had one but it said it expires after three hours, luckily it still worked though.:sly:

Me. When I finally got through to them and explained that the e-mail address no longer existed on my secondary account, they agreed to sent the e-mail to my primary account e-mail address instead. I had to tell them the year and month I created the account and 5 or 6 of the usernames on the friends list of that account.
 
Activating an account via Gmail: instant 👍

Activating an account via MSN (my GTP_ account): 4 hours and counting 👎
