I dont think there is currently a PS2 emulator available. If there was it would be awesome, but unfornatly hasnt been created yet :(

I don't think there is ANY emulators currently which are capable of playing PS2 games. Though a simple search on KaZaA could bring up quite a few results, some which REALLY look like they're working programs.

I've never tried this myself, I don't care because I own a PS2 anyway :D

Usually the ones that claim to be PS2 emulators are nothing more than hoaxes or viruses.

Speaking of KaZaA, did you hear about the Madonna thing?

Apparently she flooded KaZaA with files that seemed to be her new American Life album, but were really her saying "What the **** do you think you're doing" - an anti-piracy ploy.

Unfortunately someone hacked her OWN website and placed all the tracks from American Life on it for free download, along with a message saying "This is what the **** I think I'm doing"...

:D

Looks like that guy is really pissed off.
Now, Madonna must be like, " why the fu&^ did I do that in the first place".

I havent found any emulators myself for the playstation 2. emulating console systems on a PC is very difficult to do because of the way they work. PS2 games or any console game for that matter needs to run on very spefiic hardware, which PC's dont have. even though a current PC is far superior hardware wise to the playstation 2, emulating a game like Gran Turismo 3 on the PC wouldnt be possible, simply because it wasnt designed for a PC CPU in mind, the frame rate would be horrible on even the most high end PC.

Just an example, there is a dreamcast emulator that does work, I forgot its name. But in order to play a game like Sonic adventure 2 you need somewhere around a 1.6ghz ahtlon or P4 and 256mb of ram with a 64mb video card or better.

and the dreamcast only has a 166mhz CPU and is able to run sonic adventure 2 at 30 frames per second, you would be very lucky to get that on a high end PC, just simply because SA2 was designed for the hardware of the PC, so its not taking advantage of it or using it correctly.

This is why we dont see emulators out there very often, and if we do they are so buggy that they are worthless.

being able to emulate console games on the PC would be awsome, but as it is right now it just isnt possible. It would be nice to see Gran Turismo 3 on the PC.

I don't think there would be any emulators for the PS2 because of the way the computers are set up. Just get a PS2, they're only about $200 US, $100 US cheaper than when it came out. Also, it saves you all the hassle of making the emulator work :D

Geek. :p

 J/K.

Yeap, I agree that emulators don't work that well on PCs. I used to have Bleem! on my PC to play PS1 games, I proceeded to purchase Test Drive LeMans and the game ran like crap in the PC. Very jerky and the grapichs are somewhat pixelated. The only game which works fine was Medal of Honor ( PS1 )

I have an N64 emulator and it works fine, running @ a constant 60 fps a second. It works fine on every game i have except for Conkers Bad Fur Day, which lags usually.
