I've heard Red bull is illegal to sell in the North America
is that true?
Actually, I'd read ages ago that Red Bull hadn't gained approval fom the Food & Drug Administration until 1997 (or so), because it contained Taurine. Since it was never approved for use in anything other than cigarettes, the FDA was slow to approve it (most products take 3-5 years for approval) for US consumption.

In any case, Red Bull's success spawned a whole slew of copy-cats. When I first tried it (Hey! It's on that Sauber-Ford driven by Heinz-Harald Frentzen! I've gotta try it!), people weren't sure what I was buying. Now people always ask if I'm going to mix vodka with it...

Usually I have a red bull, and they do the job, the most I've had one day was 10 little bottles of the stuff, and it was pretty cool, but I don't think it was too healthy.

People, Red Bull is like Jolt Cola. They aren't energy drinks. Usually whenever something is carbonated you can trust it not to be healthy or an energy provider. Same goes with chocolate bars, any good energy bar does not include chocolate because you could go hypoglaucemic or w/e.

You guys have it all wrong. I whip up a little something called:

:p Anyways, I usually go with Sobe if I need healthy energy, but if I need energy period, I go with Red Bull. Red Bull makes hockey games a whole lotta fun.

Red Bull isn't good for you dude. Caffeine = higher blood pressure and higher heart rate. It only gets you "pumped", which isn't to be confused with energy, as muscles need both, but an unnecessarily high heartrate isn't healthy by any means. Not to mention it makes the heart beat irregularily.

(Double Vodka &) Redbull
A Pink substance called "Lizard Juice"
Or there is a cold coffee drink called Rocket Fuel which is insane.

I've already been beaten to the punch, but try good ol' water. 99% of the time, energy drinks are basically soda, minus the bubbles. Even most commercial juices have too much sugar content.

Ever wonder why those really fast marathon runners only drink water when running? Because it's the best thing for you. Sugars/salts/electrolites are okay if you're severely dehyrdrated and have lost those things (you can feel it, especially when you start having severe cramps), but most of the time they act as a diuretic, meaning that they take water out of your system (anybody who's taken bio should know how this works – water always moves to the area with the greatest concentration of solutes). In fact, I make it a point to only drink Gatorade if I can also drink an equal amount of water, and I always do so after a race, never before or during.

Carbonated? The redbull I buy ain't carbonated at all, it comes in small glass bittles with japanese writing in them, they come straight from some foreign country, I've had the carbonated stuff before, and its nothing near the stuff in the botltes.

emad
Red Bull is easy to find in 7-11's... so it's damn hard to get in Canada :irked:
Bawls is good
There's a new company in Canada that makes something called Diablo. That stuff is teh shizzle maaan. I haven't had enough to get the caffiene boost though
👍
i agree, diablo really works i am drinking it now cause i am about to study for an exam all night.
there is a gas station by my school that sells red bull, but its like $3.50 a can, and i find the cans taste fizzy, but my freind ND4SPD who gets them in what looks like medicine bottles in a chinese store and it doenst have a fizzy taste to it.

they dont have a fizzy taste to it because they've sat there for 3 years. May I remind you theres a difference between rapid heart rate and energy.

[edit] hey some 12 year old girl from Willow Rd. with a knife robbed that store a couple weeks ago. [edit]

man i am glad i moved out of that area, my dad got shanked and we had to move because his little brother had a gun and came up to me and said he was going to kill us. they are both in prison and when they are out they are not allowed in guelph. 👍 :)

This seemed suited instead of making a new thread...

24 Ounce Monster Khaos...sweet sweet bliss :)
But don't drink two (on the can it says no more than 2 a day, 16 ounce has 3 a day limit) Your heart will race, you will sweat, and get very hungry.

Either that or Bawls...I LOVE BAWLS! :D (That sounds just awful...)

I love a cold Bawls. in fact, I made a jingle that they should turn into a commercial:

Freezin' Bawls, Freezin' Bawls,
Damn it's hot, I'm freezin' Bawls,
Freezin' Bawls, Freezin' Bawls,
You know you're hot when you're freezin' Bawls.

Red Devil and Relentless.

Relentless is marketed like a perfume and has poetry on the back. Perfect for read when the caffiene/taurine kicks in.

lucozade sport usually does me for a soccer match. red bull is good though

I like Vault, It is the only energy drink I have, unless its EXTREMLY diluted expresso in hot chocolate.

Vault isn't really a proper energy drink. It's good, sure, but it's basically like Surge. It's just regular soda with a touch more caffiene and sugar, whereas a real energy drink is like nitromethane for people.

Alcohol and energy drinks isn't normally very irritating to the stomach. Ever heard of a red-bull and vodka, or a jagerbomb? Both are very common alcoholic drinks using red bull. They're both really good, too. My friend and I went through a fifth of Jagermeister and four red-bulls last Sunday that way.

Jagerbombs are the best.

Just not three in a row.

im guessing you guys are refering to this

Its the thai version of redbull

and heres a bit of info about the origins of redbull if you didnt already know

Dietrich Mateschitz and Nina Avery travelled to Thailand and saw that the tuk-tuk (rickshaw) drivers drank a substance to keep them energized throughout the day. After some alterations to the recipe, and a flavor modification for the public, Red Bull was born. He adapted it from the Thai beverage Krating Daeng (กระทิงแดง), which translates into the English language as Red Gaur.

The best energy drink is H2O. Drink lots of it every day.

You win 1 internets.

I second this mans statement. I go through 7-8 bottles of water a day. Im a wateraholic.

And I just realized this is a year old thread .

Anyways, I don't really like the taste of energy drinks. I tried a sip of Monster before and it tasted like wet ass on a hot day. Pretty much gave me a bad impression for energy drinks.

Ice cold water & oviously, COCA COLA! (Not diet, diet coke is the worst thing ever to happen to drinks...no wait, Coke Zero is.)

I'll stick with spinach, parsley, beet, carrot and apple juice, thank you.

A great new energy drink I've discovered is pineapple, orange and entire mini jar of maraschino cherries then mixed with crushed ice.

MONSTER FOR THE MOTHER F WIN.

I also drink some SOBE energy drinks but their 'Power' drink in the glass with the fruit punch flavor is fantastic. I love it.
