Actually, I'd read ages ago that Red Bull hadn't gained approval fom the Food & Drug Administration until 1997 (or so), because it contained Taurine. In any case, Red Bull's success spawned a whole slew of copy-cats. When I first tried it (Hey! It's on that Sauber-Ford driven by Heinz-Harald Frentzen! I've gotta try it!), people weren't sure what I was buying. Now people always ask if I'm going to mix vodka with it...
