Enough Bickering Already!!

Ok, so the entire Drag Racing section has degraded to a nasty pit where people fight amongst each other only for the sake of opposing one another. We all know who the catalysts are, so I don't need to point them out. Being one of the main reasons this section was created in the first place, I never thought it would turn into something like this. I envisioned an organized place where people with an interest in dragging would congregate and get pointed in the right direction. Events would be held and team info would be available here. I do admit that some of this is accomplished, but it is drowned out by the "I have the fastest....." and "I need the best R35 Tune". I just want to remind everyone that this section is not needed and Jordan can remove this section just a easily as he added it.

So please, enough with the massive egos and the pursuit to prove you are the best dragger in the world. This is after all ONLY A VIDEO GAME. Some people take this a bit too seriously...

I must say, I came to this forum with high hopes. I've perused every other sub-forum of GT5 here, and hesitated on drag because of the rumors. But I got bored with the same old same old, so I searched for greener pastures. Here's what I found:
A drag forum with a ton of intelligent and educated tuners
Tons of info on how to properly follow the steps to be a respected tuner
A wonderful list of who's who in the dragging industry, and the respect they've earned.

Here's why it all means nothing:
A select group feel entitled to shoot down all newcomers, regardless of interest or ability.
Said group only respond in threads with heavy sarcasm or deep disdain.
Said group throws their weight around like the entire site owes them for their talents, which I agree are admirable.
Said group blatantly ignores the AUP because 'there's always trash talking in drag racing'
Said group gangs up on any new members to 'their' forum, to make them feel inadequate and unworthy of their existence.

Listen guys, we get it. No0bs suck, regardless of forums. The marketplace will eat you alive if you throw a thread out there trying to trade x1's. Or want to get free cars because you 'forgot' to back-up your save data. Or jump into the Q&A asking why Porsche isn't in the game. But those forums see 10x the traffic this one does, which would lead me to believe that it's a bit more personal and intelligent here. You have to look for this forum to find it, it doesn't just jump out at you. You guys have the great opportunity to make a great forum here, with your knowledge and ability, but you've turned into a trash-talking, child-like forum, where nothing but 'who has the biggest balls' is the premise for every thread. It's tiring to search your threads, and exhausting to justify the forum as a whole. I really had high hopes coming here to learn something, but all I've learned is the heavy hitters here are just a bunch of arrogant bullies. So drag, and waste me all you want. All you have at the end of the day is the ability to be a great mind behind a terrible attitude. And I'd rather be the loser if that was the stipulation to be a winner.

Wow, your starting the circle over again.. and there are more indy tuners than tunnel on here.. and Rayzah is correct, this is more of a tight knit community because we see each other every single day... Its not like it is on the oiher forums because most of the n00bs are there....

No, thats incorrect it will stop if you want it to. The history cannot be changed, so to the people who must not be named, its over. Or, if not, then this whole drag racing forum deserves to be closed because of you. And all of the hard work by people like iwin and other names who have made helpful threads and some whom have been make into sticky's will be for not.

I don’t agree with your analysis. I feel it’s extremely exaggerated and bias. If you genuinely feel “No0bs” are regularly attacked here you haven’t really been reading the forum.

It seems that an increase of recent visitors (a number with zero posts) have been disregarding the stickies and failing to search before making requests. In other forums, posters who do this have their posts locked before they get out of hand. It could just be coincidence, but new and old members alike are doing this regularly now and it would be an easy way to quickly create a hostile thread.

It also appears a few (one in particular) members are openly trying to get the forum closed. It would be a shame if that was allowed to happen. I just hope the entire posting history is taken into consideration. I intend not to respond to this person whose name I will not mention

ok yes there is bickering and people talkin smack but thats drag racing, you want to be the best the fastest and have the overall best crew behind you... this is what it is, in the real life you go to the track and all you hear is wolf tickets and same on the street scene... its nothing different, but when the noobs come in we dont just shoot them down its when they ask for tunes and how to do this and that... little info you can find just from being on the track in a good room, dont ask for tunes learn for yourself its much better that way... and i have no problem with helping someone out if they ask questions but im not gonna give my tune for 5 gold or chrome chips... you ask a stupid question you get a stupid answer... not tryin to hurt feelings but you should know what the outcome is gonna be before you do something.... but much respect for you all and happy dragging out there...

I dint believe that those threads are what started it because it was frirendly competition there...

The first one was posted by me because Iwas trying to prove a point.

I know that if I made a vote thread about who likes you, no one would vote for you because you have made so many enemies.

The next one was by iwin, and was trying to make it more fair(?) but it was just the same thing over..

The third one was by eightlives and was a joke thread...

We were still together even though we as a community had just one or two problem makers... All of this really started in the past week... but like I said,
