Hi, i'm a new users but a massive GT fan! I'm a degree student in the UK studying Video Games Development. Polyphony Digital are one of my most respected developers!

I've stood by the GT series since the start and every version has exceeded my expectations!! GT2 was massive compared to GT1, GT3 was technically amazing when it was released and still doesn't look old!!

GTConcept kept life until prologue. GTP was a great insight to GT4.

Now we have GT4!!!!

I live in the UK and the game hasn't come quick enough! BUT no 2p garages and for the first time my expectations haven't been met. I'm gutted! The GT mode is top notch 10/10 but arcade is what could we say..... wasted and next to useless with out tuned cars. My friends and I can no longer pit our tuned beauties against each other!! WHY!!!

Photo mode and B-spec are great ORIGINAL ideas that add new life to traditional racing genre!

But i'm sorry to say i'd of waited another 6months for something that has more about it!
 
You do know that asking for more will mean another delay, right? That is IF PD even considers it.

Sort out the two player thingy!
Put back the quick shifting on the merc's!

It's threads like these that raise peoples expectations and hopes of the game and therefore leads them to be more dissappointed when they get it. That and the fact that they're pretty pointless.
 
My wishes:

1. Please put tuned car garage back in 2-player mode for the Pal release of GT4

2. Sort out the tiny little frame rate probs that happen, but that might just be my Japanese PS2 gettin old reading the disc!

3. Give us online so we can have great tuned car races against anyone! (And give us ps2 owners something to shout about)

I agree but I hope the right people see these threads! Being a student developer myself, I think public input to games development is important!
 
Pedal and gear operated reversing with the DFP.

At the moment all you can do is contort to reach the triangle button and shred your tyres as it goes immediately to full throttle.
 
All you people can wish all you like for 2 player tuned cars, but I can't see that happening, its been dropped for one reason or another.. Live with it guys!

Damn right!
We have no influence so this kind of conversation is pretty pointless. Apart from minor tweaks and possibly error corrections, the PAL version will be pretty much identical to the Japanese release. So you'll have to wait even longer for GT5 to get anything vastly new!
 
Heres my wish for GT4 PAL
1. speedo in MPH
2. Make the reverse gear 'shiftable' using the dfp, instead of using the triangle button on the wheel.
3. FORD ESCORT RS COSWORTH
 
I believe people in important places read this forum so you may as well tell them what the customer wants and this little customer wants home garage in 2P mode and 2P player replays to have a single screen view as an option. If its not going to happen for GT4 then at least it's don't let it be forgotten in the rush for the online enhanced version or a new prolouge or GT5 or anything else that might appear. I'll also vote for the fixed reverse gear :D. Sometimes you just wish they had a keen GT player who's not obsessing aobut how good their latest code was in there with them to notice these things in the final build and say HEY! you forgot something that was good
 
That's a diapointment, but not as much of a diapointment as the way they screwed up the lightning. I don't care about more delays by now just fix these problems. With this many delays you think PD would have got it all right.
 
More used Euro cars or even new cars, frankly there isn't enough in the Asian GT4 especially when theres 56 bloody Skylines. A Fiat Panda while amusing does not make up for the lack of a Sierra Cosworth... And race mods... "Wont be one for every car" turned into "There wont be any for any car". Not only is there a massive Japanese car bias its reflected on the tracks (which is something new) also, I mean 5 versions of Fuji Speedway etc??? I wouldn't mind one version of each but 5 is a number maker. Despite the 'Ring I'm not happy with the track selection especially when they've widened Deep Forest. Including some other tracks (how a real UK circuit...) to balance out the millions of different versions of 1 track is needed.

And of course the other ideas in this thread. I would actually prefer a delay if these problems were going to be rectified. Even more so if online was included & these 'fixes' but I doubt its going to happen. If its delayed again without these problems sorted I may not buy the game but play it through other means such as at a mates house because it sounds like I'll get bored of it once the shine wears off, like I did with GT3. I didn't believe all the hype but with all the delays I hoped for a well balanced game, especially one which actually had previous features included, not including online after teasing us with it for so long was bad enough. :ouch:

Oh yes & allow us to race the Fireblade for christs sake. Nitrious is allowed in races but the Fireblade isn't? :irked:
 
It would be better if it had more euro cars, wheres the capri and manta? :).T5-R is right though, and a cossie would have been sweet too.
 
Please send SCEE an email if you want to try and make a difference to the PAL version.

I try to refrain from moaning about cars but you guys are right about the cossies. They are icons oh and not forgetting the Escort RS2000 and RS400 group B. Oh and a Capri would be nice too.

The garage battles are THE most important ommission for me though. Its a regression rather than a step forward. Its a piss take! If its really true it will make the game next to useless as a multiplayer experience.
 
I only wish PD makes an excellent localization into PAL!
ALl i want is to have GT4 run fast and fluently like the NTSC-Version.
They don't have to add western cars, cause i like the nippon cars^^
 
I want the Speed O meter to be MPH because I have a speed o meter in KPH.
 
These threads are so stupid! , the game is japanese, dont you think they would have the best version, I dont expect much change if at all , in the pal and ntsc versions of the game! , id be happy just to have a copy in fact

and also mainly for people to shutup about how terrible the game is or something :) dont like it? dont play it , sure we have waited , but im quite happy with whatever we have gotten

stop making threads and wait to see what we get? there is nothing else we can do anyways. 💡

No, threads like this are not stupid. The developer (assuming they see and take note of suggestions such as these), should be able to make small changes to the game for non-asia releases. Things such as 2-player garages and wheel selectable reverse gear and selectable crowd noise are fairly easy changes to make. Adding new cars/tracks is obviously not going to happen because that involves massive time in modeling.
