My understanding is that GT4 supports 480p, 16x9, and a kinda sorta 1080i. Should look real good on my 102" widescreen HDTV projector. Enthusia sounds like it will be a real nice game and I'm hoping the graphics can compete with GT4 when blown up to that size. We'll see. I'll most likely buy both games. I guess I could always use a smaller screen size if need be............ NAH!

My importer, NCSX.com, has a release date of march 5 for US and 17 for Japan. These guys are always right on with dates. The game is even available for pre-order, which i will.

I'm also getting the DVD that came with Famitsu that has a lot of footage of Enthusia. I'm gonna rip it and amke a torrent of it after i get it.

Yes i'm looking at you Geks!

veery nice .... I dont mind they just copy GT4 car list
anyway ... how come US version is earlier?

The first two Audi LMP's were the R8C which was a coupe and the R8R which wa an open top, after they drove both cars enough the R8C was the one doing best and showing most potential so the R8R was dropped and the following LMP's all open top cars were just called the Audi R8.

It was the other way around:

R8R = open top (R for Roadster)
R8C = close top (C for Coupe)

Incidentanly, the R8R became the Audi R8, while the R8C became the Bentley EXP Speed 8.

My bad, :dunce:.

The R8C didn't actualyl become anything, the R8C raced back whenever was quite different to 2003 LMP's. The Speed 8 has more in common with the R8 but even then they arn't the same. Tis was all explained to me a while back and I'm not the best person to explain it myself but the fact that the two cars are pretty much the same minus the badge and some bodywork is not true.

Actually, you have that backwards. The R8R was an open-cockpit LMP, and the R8C was a closed-cockpit LMP.

Not true. The Bentley was a completely different design, basing its concept on the knowledge gained from the R8, but it had nothing to do with the R8C. The R8R and R8C were just a way for Audi to see which road to go down, closed or open cockpit, and when they decided that the open-cockpit was the beneficial route, they stuck with that.

Well, how can I explain this to you...

In 1998, Audi started working with Dallara and the Joest team in the Audi R8 (at that time, they even didn't know if they would build a car with an atmo engine or a turbo one).
Then, after designing the first version of the R8R, they decided also to comission RJN in Norfolk (were Tom's Toyota was based before) for the creation of a closed coupe (the R8C) because they didn't know which was the best.
However, even if they raced at LeMans in what became the evo3 version of the R8R (unofficial name) and the R8C, the Audis were not that fast (while the R8C was even slower and less reliable). From this on, Audi concentrated in the open top route.
In spite of this, RJN continued developing the R8C, firstly by giving it a GT-One-"esque" look in 2000 (the car ran, it seems, with a Cosworth atmo engine) and then designing the first variation of the Bentley EXP Speed 8 (which, ofcourse, was a lot more develloped than the R8C), which used a 4.0 litre Audi engine (similar to the 3.6l in the Audi R8).

So, what I meant was that, while the R8R develloped into the R8, the R8C was then develloped to the Bentley, thought both of them had a lot more R&D incorporated to it, which meant the very different (and better) aero and engineering.

Basically the R8C programme ended up leading to the creation of the Speed 8, but the R8C and Speed 8 themselves are two very different cars.

You say that like it's a bad thing... at least we have a date for it. Besides, it'll take at least that long before I'm willing to take GT4 out of my PS2. :)

I agree. I'll need at least three months to play anything else than GT4.

The IGN article referred to the US release date. But the Konami official page still says only "Coming soon", so I guess the IGN info shouldn't be taken for granted.

And still no info (official or unofficial) about the european release ...

the reason i will buy this game is because of this little red baby, by the way i own one of them little red devils
it seems that i can not attach the image of the B.M.W. E30 M3 EVO3 :nervous:

Just got confirmation that they are indeed planning on releasing it in the US on May 3rd and it was soley a marketing decision.

If I was on the marketing team I think I would be a little concerned about releasing a game so close to E3 but since Forza's date just as close I guess they know what they are doing.

Just got confirmation? The press release yesterday wasn't good enough? Only took me a minute of poking around Konami.com to find their press-release section, and the news was there. That was official enough for me.

Meh, I got the info tuesday and I didnt see the press release which is good to see.

BTW.. Coming out right (well around ten days~) after GT4 isn't the best decision... Most people will be too busy playing GT4... :)

Anyways I hope it is an awesome game that can offer something GT4 cannot offer... If it is on the same level (graphics and physics etc) I doubt that many people will buy it when it comes out... Though many will probably think of it after a price drop... (I.E. me)...

entusia is supposed to be unforgivingly realistic. That seems to be its main selling pt. focusing on the driving rather than the tuning of say FOrza, or GT4 to some extent. Its gonna have more realistic physics than GT4. But will that translate into a better game? Depends on what else it has.
