To the lucky Enthusia owners:
How is the view from the cockpit ( or from the hood ) Is it better than the one from GT4 ? I know, I know, it's not very difficult to outperform GT4 in that sector :)
Could you plesase post at least 1 pic from the cockpit view ? Or do the posted pics include some from the cockpit ? I can only see some replay pics with 4 tires on it.

I'm nor sure, but I think that IS the cockpit view ( four tires and VG ball)

Q: Can you tune the cars with different parts like gt? or just powerup levels?
There are no parts tuning involved. Just the "levels" and you can't exactly fine tune the car setup like you can with GT4. There are sliders to adjust things like spring rate, ride height, etc, but there's no numbers to see the exact value of the setting. The game may seem a bit arcade-ish because of the tuning but the driving feel is very nice :)

WOO I just got the game, I like the control!! It has more oversteer than GT4. But the graphics is not very good.

Thanks for the translation Maskrider! I Was looking for them.

Its not coming out in america untill may, right? Its no use for me to import games cus my ps2 isnt modded. And I'd prefer having everything in english. :)

I never tried Live For Speed so i don't know, i can drift in Tsukuba (except the last corner). I'm uploading a video right now.

My video :

My first video in Enthusia, there are drift inside (a little bit).

So enjoy!!

I very much enjoyed it ! Great driving and nice drifts! I think this video cleared my mind about wether or not to buy this game (considering the amazing fact taht the reviews here and in the GT4 forum are so different from one to another). Now I've seen it in action, and I'm definitely going to buy it!

Thx Ryosuke! 👍

The graphics of this game is starting to remind me of Driving Emotion Type S.

Well, take your copy again, play it 10 minutes, look at a video of Enthusia and state that again... the grafics of Enthusia are not awesome, but up to date, I can't say that about D E T-S...

They're still good.

But at first glance. Some of the other shots of Enthusia though still look better.

DETS was cool. Did a lot of drifting in it. But handling was wierd. I don't know if it was suppose to be a sim or not. I don't think so, but it was wierd.

Yeah I also liked it, not hit game but some hours fun... yeah the handling was difficult, and supposed to be realistic... the handling of the powerful cars was better...as far as I can remember the Ferraris were rather easy to steer...

I just got my copy and I am satisfied with my purchase. Enthusia seems to excel in places where GT4 fails and vice versa. I dont get why people think it has arcade graphics maybe its the fantasy tracks which are a little on the wild side but I think it makes them that much more enjoyable. I would say the quality of the visuals closer to GT3 and for a third party dev knocking out these visuals on their first go is nothing to squak at. My only real dissapointment is not being able to spin your tires when going straight when the car should be able to, I hate having asists, though the lateral slip is very nice. Not a GT kiler out and out but a great sim that any driving Enthusiast ;) should have in their collection.

Props to Konami for bringing in some serious competition for sim racing genre. 👍

The F50 was the only car I had trouble with. But it was fun as hell to drive.
I still got to see if the DFP works with it. :dopey:

Hmm hard to remember, I bought that game as it was released in Japan, hmm so close to 4 years ago, I played it for 2 weeks and then not again....but somehow I think I'll race some laps again in near future... for sentimental reasons :)

Damn I´m having problems with Enthusia´s saving system. For two times I have started to play Life Mode and forgot to save the game. Why did they make you go to the option screen to be able to save it??

And a stupid question: The "winning odds" system, how exactly does it work? The higher the number the better chances you have to win, or is it the opposite?

Odds are like the pay outs in gambling, the higher the number, the lower the chance you will win. I think the "Odds" are determined by the car spec alone.

And finally played the Nurburgring in Enthusia, it feels wider and the weather is completely different, it is no longer scenic like GT4 and there are almost no sense of bumps like GT4. And well, no grafitti on the track.

so.. with all these varying opinions. the only way to find out if the game is good or not seems to be to play the full version yourself. :)

Yeah, I played on it today. It´s good, but not as good as GT4´s. The track is so smooth. I don´t know about the DFP, but the DS2 only vibrates when you hit something or go outside the track, which makes the experience less realistic.

One thing I've noticed with the DFP in Enthusia is that the force is a lot weaker compared to GT4, but that's probably because GT4 was optimized for the wheel. For example, there's very little vibration and shaking when you drive the Audi R8 in Enthusia. The forcefeedback feels like any other production sports car in the game.
