That new video was great. A lot of drifting in there. I'm really glad to see that as I was scared you may not be able to drift in this game.

For you guys that say you haven't been waiting for Enthusia. Well, you have. We simply didn't know about it till march of last year, that's all. I bet it's been in development as long as Forza has. Konami just kept it quite because they saw what a huge mistake PD made with announcing GT4 and not delivering.

I like people who don't brag all over the place but deliver what's promised on schedule.
I "googled" but coldn't find anything : Will Enthusia be available for XBOX and PC too ? I would say yes, because Konami produce games for various platforms. But I didn,t see any official mention of it.

The idea of porting Enthusia to any other platform was laughed at. Dont expect to see it anywhere else than the PS2 according to Konami.

That would be a very difficult port from PS2 to XBox.

nah, the idea isn't too far fetched, sure other versions would be the PS2 version with just more resolution, but if you take a look at the silent hill games and winning eleven you'll soon see that this could very well happen.

I am not the one saying the idea is far fetched, it is Konami themselves saying that any port is very very unlikely, the question was litteraly laughed at by Konami representative.

What konami game has recieved a higher resolution when ported to Xbox?

SaintKamus
nah, it wouldn't be, in fact not too long ago i heard the game might be comming for xbox also, but haven't heard anything since.

Yeah, it would. Why do you think PD hasn't gone to XBox? It's a TOTALLy different development platform. It's not like .net where you can just recompile the assembly. You ahve to reprogram the whole thing.

Anyway, I haven't seen anything even remotely official regarding possible porting of Enthusia to other consoles.

Oh, it is quite possible to put mulitple quotes in one post. So please do that in the future instead of making lots of posts. Thanks!:)

if they released it for pc with good graphics they would make so much money. PC sim fans have been starving for a game with real physics and real cars :)

What difference does it make that it's a konami game? But from my experience, the conversions tend to be abit better, cept the odd few games that the dev screws up.

Oh pro evo.

Enthusia'S direct competition is GT4! KONAMI is japanese, they dont care about x-box, plus xbox has Forza, they really want to prove that they could make a better sim than PD has!

Becuase Sony owns PD.

I think several publishers/devs have commented that PC development is more expensive and is less attractive due to their being much more rampant piracy than on the consoles. Considering its coming from Japan, I could be wrong but it seems PC gaming there is no where near as popular as it is in the US and Europe.

Oh I dont know, maybe becuase Enthusia is made by Konami and I dont recal any Konami Xbox game looking different from the PS2 version. In fact I think MGS2 had framerate problems on the Xbox.

Enthusia looks is the underdog when it comes to Forza and GT4. Konami is usually not one known to make a very good racer, and since Konami is one expected to make a big sim, this will be great achievement for them.

The car line up looks fantastic.

The 1995 Le Mans winning McLaren F1GTR Short tail is in, the very one that made McLaren famous for its 1st win out in its 1st year.

And E30 M3 looks awesome. I have a feeling GT5 won't be another GT3 after all this competition. Konami did a good strategy keeping quite and not revealing alot, which even now, not even a car list or track list is out. PSM hasn't reported on it since March of last year which is when PSM first reported it.

I have a feeling Yamauchi will be sure to go all out on GT5.

this game looks really freakin tight.

I'm now more excited about this game than GT4 AND Forza combined. The new vids, screens, and interviews have an infallible quality about them: that this game means business.

oh yeah, jedi asked what cars were seen that aren't in GT4: E30M3, CSL batmobile, M1 (!!!!!!!), a Fiat that I can't remember the name of (but is hella cool), the new WRC cosworth focus, the street version of the Lancia Rally car that I also forgot the name of (that is also hella cool), caterham super 7.

Isn't the Caterham Super 7 in GT4? That fast and small convertible car.

Anyways, even though GT4 and Forza have the Longtail, Enthusia features a more famous McLaren. The shorttail.

The videos are amazing. I'll be buying all 3!

the caterham in gt4 is the fireblade. the super 7 is in some enthusia vids (I think, and is also a background image on the official site.

Enthusia's site also features an Aston Martin that James B. drove.

I think its the DB5.

yes, add that to the list.

I'm sure there are plenty others, but the car selection so far looks very very good. None of the cars make my eyes glaze over like the pedestrian people-transporters that GT4 packs.

even the 2CV, as slow as it is, is quirky and historic. I like cars with character.

Enthusia is doing some good car adding like Forza.
Forza features a good selection of unheard of cars.
Enthusia is doing the same, but with real history making cars. Such as 24 hour winning Opel, and '95 Le Mans winning McLaren.

The E30 M3 is beautiful, and the Audi R8 sounds simply...amazing.

Honestly, im most looking foward to the physics and the touges.. 👍 I've already seen some great cars and i'm just hoping for good multiplayer. Touge battles Best Motoring style. :)

oh yeah!

the bimmers and lancias should be really fun on the touge.

I can't wait to hear more engine sounds. the audi really sounds like a race car. The one in GT4 turned my face into a grimace.

behold the hotness!

very impressive render

fully 3d wheels in all the screens, nightime racing with dynamic lighting, dynamic weather changes, skidmarks, and still people say the game looks bad? people are on crack... :grumpy:

Touge? Please fill me in. Is that like drifting? Or something else?

McLaren F1GTR
So does it look like Forza has some Touges as well? They have some mountain courses.

supposedly. I haven't seen the japanese road courses yet, they could have them wrong (wide roads with gradual turns would ruin them.)

touge racing is like tarmac rally races basically (except that they're head-to-head, instead of simple point-to-point.) I could be wrong, but from owning and watching BMI, that's what it seems like to me.

well, touge means mountain. So, its basicly a tarmac rally. Uh.. like France in richard burns rally.

on steep downhill courses, underpowered cars can compete with cars that would normally destroy them on the track. And uphills require lots of power.

crap.. didnt mean to do that, i meant to edit my post above. :guilty:

man, I never got to the tarmac rallies in RBR. All I played was at a friend's house, and there was only gravel rallies available. That must be fun!!

yup its awsome, i drive like Takumi. :) ......

drunk on colt45 and high on weed

actually im pretty good. I really understand what it means to attack a corner now. In other autosport games, you can't tell the difference between following raceline going fast, and "attacking" a corner.
