I was checking my RECORDS in the License Menu and for some reason I tried pressing R1 and "X" button simultaneously then something NEW popped out..

It says ENTRY CODE.

I went on pressing "X" after the prompt and it showed me a bunch of numbers which seem like a secret code or something. I dont know what is it for, or how to make use of it..

Has anyone of you guys bumped into this kind of thing yet? Can you explain what does the CODE do? Are there any other CODES in this game aside from what I've found?

Hmm, I just checked that out and get the same thing. It comes up on a little screen, you can either choose delete, cancel or entry code. click on entry code, if you have selected a record, and it gives you some sort of a 3 line code. Wonder if this is maybe a code you can copy down and then re-enter with maybe a gameshark or somthing, to regain that record?? (I know nothing about game sharks as I've never owned one. Just a complete shot in the dark) Nonetheless, I figured I'd letcha know I get the same thing when I hit those buttons. Maybe somebody else can further inform us....

In some games, they gave codes like that to put up on sites for best times. Maybe that was planned for GT3 but never happend

This would be really good for Online Racing Leagues and verifying times. I am sure when you enter that into whever thing finds the code, it would tell you the HP of the car, what type of car, the record, and the track. That would be sweet if that was really implimented that way. I would have liked to do a GT3 OLR sponsored by Polyphony themselves. :)

I bet you're not too far off with that. It wouldn't take much for a 6 or 8 character code to include all that information. Though, I bet in this case it only stands for the time, track, and name that completed it. That could be cool stuff.

I thought this might be a debug menu type of thing. Something the programmers put in to give them quick access to parts of the game. So I started to think of parts of the game where you can INPUT information. Well you can input information whenever you set a record. So I did one of the B liscense tests and when it said enter your name I entered one line of that code. Nothing happened. Since there were three lines of code I thought each line might be for Gold,Silver and Bronze medals.

I think these CODES are here for a reason......... not just a bug! But for whatever reason it is, only a Genuis can break it. Naaaaaaaaah......... Go get some calculator, a pen and paper! Who know's, you might decode something!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p :p :p

i have no idea what it is for... But i think it is for regaining all of your game if you accidentaly erased your save.....

this is just my theory "dont quote me on that"

I whould really like to know what that is really cuz of you have to insert on a web site or something for records that whould be great for sure :).I hope why it's for that but i will send an e-mail to Sony Playstation for GT3 Asking why is there these entry codes cuz i am curious to know .... I will give you back information if i get any answer by Sony

go to a blank part.. the codes are all ---------

Do you mean you can enter a time and then get that time on the licence test?

Hmm... I found out that it appears in the Time Trials as well, but you can't enter any codes by yourself... Maybe it's a code you can enter on a site. Maybe you can even win something!

no not yet put i sent it to sony by the way i might get an answer after the Holiday's cuz i think some people that work there are on a break...:)
