What the hell, are these exotics just laying around all over Dubai or what?

I understand that Dubai is a very wealthy country but I've never understood why, can someone fill me in here? :odd:
 
Essentially, people are coming over to Dubai, taking out huge loans and flee the country when it all catches up with them.

Although there is no oil in Dubai itself the UAE is a very wealthy country because of it (although its now massively diversifying into things like tourism and finance). As Dubai has become the popular part of the UAE its become the playground of the rich which is why there are so many exotic cars around.

Now the reason why they end up dumped all over the place is because a place where you can make big bucks quick comes with very high risk. When oil crashed from over $100 to 50 a barrel Dubai nearly went bust overnight, there were pictures hundreds of luxury cars dumped at the airport as people fled the country mainly because they all owed money and didn't want to face the consequences (the law is very strict there). Also many properties where simply abandoned.

You could make great money over there as a car detailer/used car salesmen. You clean peoples cars and when they can't pay their bills you offer to take care of their cars for them while they flee the country.
 
You're a hipster if you throw away your exotic cars. Oh and I cried over the Mini rotting in a sand blasted hell next to the Enzo.

Now that's something that you don't see very often in the trash.

But that saddens me, and I don't care if people say the NSX isn't a proper supercar and won't give it sympathy, because it is most certainly is.

Nooooooo. No car deserves to rot. Except maybe the G-Wiz, but that's classed as a quadracycle or something. Seriously though, why don't they just auction off the cars cheaply?

It's the sorta thing I'd buy for a lady-friend ;) if I was crazy rich.

The rich Arabs don't seem to care about taste. Their only criteria is for it to be flashy, bling, and to stand out.
 
OMG I saw this story and it pisses me off yet makes me want to be super rich as well. I'm sure the guy is a drug dealer or used it in a murder because those are literally the only reasons to dump your car. Normally I would say insurance fraud, but I doubt they get a lot of stolen Enzo's than later find random ones lol.

Not too bad...

Maybe a tone of pink other than "Barbie pink" could have been better, but it is not that bad.
