ENZO, coz you just get that feeling.

Yeah the feeling that your about to understeer into the armco just before you snap oversteer into the hedge on the opposite side of the road !

I ve tried numerous tunes on the enzo and still have not found 1 that cures all its faults . Besides which with ferrari's know how and heritage why do i have to spend hours trying to make it vaguely drivable . I dont mind a little fine tuning to suit personal preference but come on , you virtually have to redesign the whole car to create something usable - not my job !

Lambo for me this time , but given the choice between Lambo and 430 , Scud , 458 , 599 , SP1 and 330P4 then the rwd fezzas would get my vote every time .

I would rather walk than take the Enzo (so long as i didnt have to look at the pig f ' ugly piece of s#'t) .

Rant over :)

The sun glinted thru the trees at the nurburgring - it had rained overnight - and autumn leaves coated the track. Only the bravest were out - no motorcycles on the slippery Green Hell... As I powered down from Brunnchen into Eiskurve the back of the car drifted out but with a dab of oppo I caught it and was away down to Pflantzgarten.

The Enzo is a b*tch - and I spanked it.

{apologies to sniffpetrol.com}

Enzos an understeering donkey in standard form. I seem to have dialed out most of it with aftermarket suspension, but it still isnt as pointy as i like the handling to be.

Murcielago is AWD, which i dont like so much, but the car seems to handle pretty well in direct contrast with the Enzo. I havent tinkered with the car much but stock for stock, i prefer the Lambo.

The Lambo sound with stock exhaust is way better than the Enzo. IMO the SV is prettier than the Enzo too. The problem with Ferrari fans is they think that any Ferrari is better than any other car "just" because it's a Ferrari.

Ferrari Enzo. Because its a Ferrari. And the Lamborghini Murcielago drive's as bad as my cooking sweetheart... and that's saying something!

Because it's a Ferrari. What an argument.

I really prefer the enzo for the class, alot of people say it understeers than suddenly oversteers and that's quite true, but for me that car is a top speed brute and sacrafices on the twisties. I really REALLY dislike the SV. I like the principle of the SV, the idea behind the SV, but not the execution of the SV. However, the regular Murcielago is more than capable and quite a fun car. If I had to pick.. It would be

Murcielago > SV
Enzo > SV
Enzo > Murcielago

In stock form both are pigs and not good in the handling department. Specifically, as mentioned numerous times, the Enzo has tendency to understeer followed by snap oversteer. Conversely the SV understeers due to its AWD nature. Aesthetically, as far as the exterior, they are both quite sexy. However, interior view and cockpit layout of the Ferrari blows away the cheapish SV. Ultimately, power is nothing without control. In my opinion, after all the modifications and suspension tweaking I find the SV to be significantly more manageable than the Enzo.

My SV is PP600 and has 778HP. It is my go to car for top speed. I still like the Enzo if it's capable enough to contend with the field, as I often don't really care about where I place. It's just a track day to me. I really can't pick between one or the other.. I just really think you need both.

I just love Lambos because they are Lambos... oh the look:drool:
If anyone finds the new Aventador feel free to put it into my christmas stocking in December:)

I haven't taken them around the ring, but though I would add these times for comparison. Sports Hards, no aids ABS:1, no more than 4 laps.

Autumn Ring
Enzo - 1:27.006
SV - 1:23.774

Monza (No Chicane)
Enzo - 1:45.112
SV - 1:45.867

The Enzo is quite hard to drive well out of the box without practice due to its shocking understeer! One has to wonder what PD did to it, surely its not that bad in real life. Which is why I struggled to get a decent time on a track like Autumn Ring. At Monza however it did much better due to the long straights and sweepers. :)

one of the enzo's biggest complaints from customers and other test drivers is the understeer

the enzo is my dream car, this is not hard to choose..although the SV is quite a beast as well...took lambo nearly 8 years before the murc matched the enzo =b

My lap times around the ring in both fully tuned.

LP670-4 SV: 6:22.673

Enzo: 6:29.242

The Lambo is easier to drive, faster and sounds and looks better.
Enzo is fun and a challenge.

But yeah, I prefer the Lambo.

Personally, I find the Enzo ugly. I dont care for pointed noses....The whole car looks very....asain gundam or something...it tries too hard. It doesnt look like a car, it looks like a race car, and thats fine, but it doesnt scream sexy like the Lamborghini does.

Both are fun to drive. I take the Lamborghini myself because driving feels more fluid.

But liking the care because of the brand, thats petty.

To me the Murcielago is actually a bit plain after all the years of similar'ish Lamborghini wedges. When I say plain that is in a relative sense, as in among the upper echelons of supercars. I find e.g. the Zonda more exciting, and the Enzo with its fighter plane looks makes my knees wobbly. The new Aventador on the other hand, is a real stunner - that has taken the bull wedge to a new level.

I wouldn't call any of them ugly though. Of course, it's all in the eye of the beholder...

I personally think the 670 SV. I would be sure IRL it would eat a enzo in a drag race, and mind you due to it being AWD, it is far easier to keep control of in GT5 and thus probably a better all rounder.

Easy pick there.

First is one the most exciting V12 mid-engined monsters the brand has ever produced, has incredibly good styling, a aura of sounds coming off those twelve pots and a unmistakable orange paint.

The other is a hideous, understeery thing.

SV all the way brah.

On Top Gear's test track the Enzo and the seven year newer LP 670-4 SV posted exactly the same lap time. Reported drag results are 11.0/219 for the Enzo and 10.9/210 for the SV. The Enzo has a tad higher top speed. In effect there's nothing in it IRL.

Oh, and lots of sports and super cars are set up with initial understeer because otherwise the posers that buy most of them would kill themselves too easily.

Enzo because I hate the feel of AWD supercars. They're overly diluted to the point of blandness. Kinda like wheat bread.
