Who told you that? Enthusia was designed to take advantage of 900degrees, hell! They got their own 900degree wheel for enthusia, and the FFB is very good(Im using 3rd option, the one with most 'strenght'). At least konami isnt trying to give you more feedback than you would have in real life on a wheel.

Eh? There's a Konami wheel out for the game? Where?!? How much?!?

I played it in 900 mode with the DFP and it was bad. The FF was anemic and the steering didn't seem... proportionate or properly weighted... 👎

EDIT: I stand corrected :dunce: . Tried 900 mode with the force feedback cranked up and it was much, much better. It still requires more rotation than I think a real would at higher speeds, but actually works very well... 👍

I don't know if this goes against board rules (and if that's the case, sorry) but I decided to "bump up" my old review (and all the inputs it got from other users) because all the "new" Enthusia players made me read it again, and because I find it to be useful, considering we - the guys that bought EPR just after it was released - have somewhat forgot how were our first impressions, and started discussing more specific aspects of the game.

Also, I have to correct something I wrote a few months ago. Back then I gave GT4 the overall victory. Now, having GT4 gathering dust for months (to be precise, since I started playing Enthusia), I have to give that trophy to EPR. It's, without any doubt, the best driving/racing game available for the PS2.

I was gonna say, DFP 900 degree mode with FF on Strong is THE way to play this game.

I test a car to see if I like it by taking it down the Dragon Range, with my clutch, heel toeing, and no aids...I can ALMOST get the Cobra down without any flags...this game's physics are a work of art.

Don't worry, thats allowed as long as your bump has something so say other than "bump", but a much appreciated bump it is at that, I can't fully agree with you're reviews yet because I've not played it much, but what I have experienced so far I agree with you on. Exept that GT4 is a the overall winner which you've retraced now anyway.

I haven't touched GT4 since buying Enthusia last month. And to think, I had just started a fresh game of GT4 a couple days prior to that.

Sure, GT4 has a far better track selection, more cars to choose from (for the most part this doesn't help much, since Enthusia has a better variety given the total number of cars...but I'd still like to drive the M5, S4, SL55 or 330i with Enthusia's physics engine), more variety in music, photo mode, etc, but Enthusia is just so much more involved to actually play. So much so that there are occasional times that I prefer Enthusia's cars to my own in real life, simply because I can get about 75% of the thrill without eating through fuel, brake pads, and tires!
