My brush with greatness: I met Lonesome George Thorogood at a party in about 1981, when he was still on Rounder Records; about the time "Move It On Over" came out. After all, I live in Delaware, and it's just not that large a state. Anyway, he was really cool. I hung out for a while and soaked up the glory, and then he sat down with an acoustic guitar and gave us a stinging bottleneck set of blues standards and some other stuff.
