And our survey say's.... XXX. I think you missunderstood about it not being a router. Thoes three ports will still be there and will still act as a HUB, it's just not a proper router.

Actually, it will be more correct to say that the additional gigabit ethernet port could be used for high speed periphials i.e. cameras etc. However, I don't know how they would get power, but I'm sure sony would figure something out. But gigabit ethernet ports for a camera would be great.

Other than that, I say it will be more or less for a basic hub, that way it would be much easier to connect multiple PS3's together via ethernet rather than a hub/router.

Alotta people have been talking about Blu-Ray...though i havent read about PS3 using Blu-ray...its backwards compatible so how could it use a different disk? i mean Blu-Ray disks are made froma paper based material nothing like a normal plastic CD....so i think its safe to compare to disk slots for size comparison

Anyone have any idea what those three matching ports are on the back? Or the two longer skinny ones under the USB?

High speed internet (ethernet ports) and the skinny ones are for HD/LCD TV's im pretty sure...i'll look it up in OPM they had a diagram of the PS3 that labeled everything

I hope the PS3 will be bigger than the PS2.... and have a compartment to store cans of beer in and keep em cold. Oh yeah, I also want to be able to do my laundry with it and wash the dishes... and vacuum the floor as well.

I'd venture that thing is gonna pretty damn bottom-heavy. Great for stability, horrible for the back. lol.

The two seen in the pic below are the two HDMI outputs.

The three are the ethernet input/outputs.
