3 wheeled car race

(And don't make it something like FF challenge, or Le Mans, or something else, we'll know that (should) be in the series, but more for the one makes that GT3 had to offer, (but base it off your wishlist for cars and tracks).

- Endurance Series - at Le Mans (or any other traditional Endurance track)

- Designed to be a beginning endurance race, or one you might try BEFORE you try a 24 hour race for example
- Cars Allowed - LM Race Cars
- Any significant beginning endurance length. Maybe four hours or the equivalent number of Laps for that track.

The twist is that TWO drivers are used, just like a real endurance race. You and one of your Bobs. At each pit stop, in addition to tire and fuel choices, you have the option to switch with your Bob, and he takes over (you will coach him in the traditional way of desired, or let him go on his own). Designed to mirror the classic endurance races, when one driver would rest while the other took over.

Prizes would be significant, but not over the top. Perhaps a prize car would be one of the traditional Endurance Winning race cars.

Even better might be the two drivers are you AND someone from your friends list. Recreating the 24 hoists of Le Mans, I drive while you sleep... You take over while I catch some zzzz's.

Prize Car: 1929 Rolls Royce Phantom I

I think if they're going to work like they did in gt5, they should get rid of them. I don't mean the races themselves, just the special category for them. Maybe put them in with the different race levels (beginner, amateur, etc). They seemed to take away from the racing in the early stages of the game. If you did the special events, you didn't even have to really start aspec until you had a substantial amount of money, and at that point you could pretty much buy an easy victory from tuning out just buying better cars than the competition. Not saying that everyone did this, but it just seemed to take away the challenges of winning races and earning money.

I did make a list of special events I'd like to see. Hopefully they come in more variety this time.

  • The Prancing Horse
    - Various Ferrari Challenges
  • French Countryside
    - Various Le Mans Challenges
  • Autobahn
    - Various German Car Challenges
  • Monterey Motorsports Reunion
    - Various classic racing and classic road car challenges at Laguna Seca
  • The Green Hell
    - Various Nurburgring Challenges
  • Land of the Rising Sun
    - Various Japanese Challenges
  • Route 66
    - Various American Challanges
  • London Bridge
    - Various British Challanges
  • Tour of Italy
    - Various Lamborghini Challanges
  • The World Center of Racing
    - Various Daytona Challenges
  • Gasoline Alley
    - Various Indianapolis Challengeres
  • Like the Wind
    - Various Top Speed Challenges
  • Grand Prix
    - Various Formula 1 Challenges

Perhaps some GROUP B rally, or some F1....

Can't do F1. Codemasters holds the rights. They might do a knock-off with stuff like the Formula GT or the last-gen parodies of some classic F1 cars, but not officially F1.

A Gumball Rally type of event. Have a series of races on various tracks but can only use 1 car for all events. Whatever your finish is from the first event is what position you start the next. Also if you finish 5 seconds behind then you start the next event 5 seconds after the leader. I think it would be interesting since some cars are great on long high speed courses but not so great on short tight courses and vice versa.

You did have to reach a certain level to get into the special events, they weren't all open from the beginning. It didn't really take anything away from a-spec in that sense.

I would like to see more one-make race special events (and a-spec mode). It would also be cool if they brought back the AMG Nurb challenges but instead of the AMG, bring other cars into it.

One more thing, point-to-point races. I loved those events in "Grand Tour".

Merged both threads together; there was going to be overlap between them, for sure.

Courses that go from city to circuit or gravel, and so on. Varying road conditions.

you mean rallycross, right?

I personally want TG expanded so we have to beat the Stigs time from a standing start, in a range on cars not just race in the same car for a lap

Driving some laps sideways on only 2 wheels.

Not just rallycross (as I understand it), but those courses as well. I would like to have a course that is part Toscana, part Mt. Aso, part London. Being able to do laps, etc would be great.

I would LOVE to be able to adjust where shortcut penalties do or do not exist.

Oh group b would be nice.

Pikes peaks maybe.

How about a 'Beat the Icon/Hero' event? Face off in a car of your choice against an icon like the F40, McLaren F1, Veyron, etc. There could probably be a handful of events, each with a different car on a different course.

A touge racing-style event might also be neat to have. The racing is based on driving with a spread between two cars, and the leader works to extend the gap and the follower has to shorten the gap or overtake. Players have to pay close attention to the split timer at the sector points to know whether they're falling behind and need to up the pace.

Car dealership races, like in GT4 and GT5P

Dealership make series like gran turismo 4, gran turismo3, gran turismo 2

Just a snipet from my GT6 GT-Life event wish list. The endurance races. The key to my endurance races is that they are unlocked gradually as you complete the game instead of all at once in the end, Beginner enduros are unlocked at 5% complete, advanced at 15%, and extreme at 25%

^ hmm alot of 24hrs, hope the ps4 doesnt overheat then

Earth,

I really like most of the race setups that you have listed. Lots of 24 hours! But I like the idea of having different classes of endurance races. I mean hardly any real race is less than 2 hours. But I would like to try to mimic the races that are in the normal series. Like try to put a DTM endurance class where there are a bunch of endurance races on tracks that DTM takes place at. The same for SuperGT, NASCAR, V8, etc. I understand that all of the tracks won't be there but at least it will somewhat mimic a real season instead of using 5 or 10 lap sprint races to make up a race season. I don't think they should get rid of the sprint races, but they should utilize the endurance races for the respective racing series.

bring back the ssr all night races, and more controlled races such as fgt's in indy 500 and gt3 cars in nurburgring

More night races, time change and weather change events.

Fiat 500 Cup
Volkswagen Beetle Challenge
Prius Showdown
Daihatsu Midget Championship

Honestly, I love these kinds of challenges. The Special Event on Top Gear Test track with the Schwimmwagen and the Samba Bus were quite challenging :D
