Accounts can't be deleted, AFAIK.

That's a good point, though there's been such a disparity for as long as I've been here.

Banned members aren't listed. THey are still counted as members, though.

Up until right now, their has been 39093 members this year from the first of january.

It's not that hard guys, Click on 'Members' then 'Search Members' then put 2005-01-01 into the 'Member since: Is after' bit. Also I put one user per page. Then tada.

This is a brilliant demonstration of how well the search feature can be used. People know to use it but now how. A good thing too, the member searches aren't limited to 100 results like normal forum searches.

However as mentioned banned users will not be included into that search.

Actually, there's more to the formula:

   Last page of 2005
 - First Page of 2005
 x Members per page
 - People who didn't spell their name properly
 - People who didn't get the name they really wanted
 - People who logged out accidently and forgot thier password
 - Banned people who apparently didn't get the message in 2003 and/or 2004

 = Members joined

Accounts are not deleted, in general. In fact, I cannot think of any accounts which have been deleted at all.

There's been a few; usually they have nasty names, and for one member I recall spamming the heck out of his site (generally had nothing else to say). But these were both from 2002, as I recall.
