Expert Super GT too easy?

Did anyone else find this really easy? I had almost lapped the last car in my final lap and had a 1 minute gap between us. I used a Toyota Minolta. Just seemed far to easy for an expert event?

Ollie.

I've said this before and I'll say it again. It's only as hard as you make it. Use lesser tires, use a less powerful car. Kinda stupid for people to complain about how easy the events are when they use an over powered car on racing soft tires, lol. Make it a challenge for yourself, you'll become a better driver for it.

Try it with one of the GT300 cars, stock on racing hard tires.

With a wheel instead of a DS3, much much more challenging.

Honestly, I never thought of that. I might try it with a GT300 and see if I can win it 👍 .

I'm kinda new to the game and didn't realise there where so many different classes of cars. Sorry for the noobish question.

Didn't you notice all the other cars looks pretty similar but yours was very different? Although you do have a point, PD should have restricted the input so that people couldn't make the mistake you did.

Yeah, I've always used the most powerful cars available and only now at around level 24 it's starting to become easier as I have some better cars. I still can't do that darn Historic Racing Car Cup though.

How did this thread last as long as it has? And why are you guys posting any serious responses at all. This one was just ripe for more basketball stories.

Well when you're using a car that has the potential to have 1000+ HP against cars that have, what, five-hundred plus HP at the max (correct me if I'm wrong), it's obviously going to be a cakewalk.

The problem is the complete lack of restrictions.
-You can enter the World Compact Car challenge in a Tank car!
-You can enter the Japanese Classics in a Toyota 7 on racing soft tyres!

I think this was done in an attempt to please everybody.
With strict restrictions, and hard competition from the AI, this forum would be littered with complaint-threads about how GT5 was way too difficult.

The way it is now:
-The experts can make their own challenges by limiting their tyre compounds or PP level.
-The beginners can win by using soft tyres and maxed out cars.

Everyone can have a race to their liking.

It's a marketing strategy aimed at satisfying the greatest number of consumers possible.

Look at the time trials:
The time required to get gold is most often incredibly easy to achieve if you use a car that is "up to spec".
The 600 PP TT on Nordschleife is a good example.
I golded it in a bone stock, 493pp BMW M3 CSL, with plenty of time to spare!

Does this mean i get less enjoyment from driving the Nordschleife? No

Is it a good challenge? If i want it to be, yes.

Just do one search for Red Bull challenge gold.
Or maybe Lotus Top Gear challenge gold.
Or Alfa Eiger challenge gold.

Check out the amount of complaints PD and Kaz gets when they give us a hard challenge.

I took my R32 TC to Fuji vs. some GT500 cars, and that in itself can be a challenge to catch and pass one car on the straight and/or hold them off. I like it.

But if you don't have the TC pack, then use a Falken GT*R with 450 hp. Great challenge either way.

Too easy, LOL you enter with a car nearly twice the power and come saying its easy. PMSL

I'm pretty sure the OP has received a satisfactory answer by now, and is well aware that the 88C-V is not equal competition with even the fastest GT500 machines. In fact he has said as much himself. More than once.

Vegard, you have me beat. I used a way overpowered 505pp stock Ruf to get that Nürburgring gold by a mile. Just because I guessed that it would be possible. I wanted to try something slower but I never bothered. As a rallying novice, this latest Toscana seasonal TT was very fun and a decent challenge for me to gold in my lightly tuned 545pp Camaro SS'10 however. :)

Agreed. Now let this thread be locked up and deserted forever.

They can't seem to comprehend the concept of difficulty levels. If they could, then there would be no need for players to find their own ways of making the game challenging.

I did it with weds sport is350 but I had racing soft and 500hp it was quite fun... I didnt finish it because I didnt know there was that many laps.(no hud)
