nice civic.....oh and about the axles...I'm not sure about the Hp at wich it would snap but I know that Honda axles are made more for high speed than high torque.

ouch. well, that thing is eeffinn fast. I love it when he says "three" and then boom... bye bye dude. oh, and when the brakes get lava-like... that is cool also.

Cano

nice vid.

Lol Cheesefrog = one funny guy...I remember when his civic first got popular...yeah, they put allot of $ into that car, I used to chat with the guy on America Online untill my account got terminated..for..Of course..vulgarity :D:D..but anyway, yeah it's an amazing machine...A king among ricers..

----
P.s. He's got a brand of Honda axles made by a company called Vitek...Which are very very reliable axles..No they arn't going to last forever under the stress of Racing from a dead stop on a torque turbocharged B18B.....but they will last you quite a while..Those are also what I have on my civic..

I wish I'll see at least one serious civic in my life. In this country, there are no viper-killer civics... and from the look of things, there wont be in a very looong time. Mexico city has become a sea of CHEAP rice. and I mean it, CHEAP. it sucks.

Cano

well, I hope I will see something that serious one day...

It's about time! I love seeing people who actually car about performance and can prove it. It just makes be sick seeing all these ricers here in town with their oversized wings, and extra-large pipes thinking their car is the shiznit. Looks like this guy is really concerned with what matters!

Thanks for the link Josh!

Right on the money with the whole wrong wheel drive deal. As for the discussion going on right now. Put it into terms of money. The amount of money you need to put into a Civic to compare to the 427 Vette. Now take that money and put it into that 427 Vette. I am sure that Vette would desimate its previous time along with the Civic doing the same. On top of that, why would you want a car that just goes straight? A high powered Civic must be a fun car to drive, but you can't turn the thing. The Vette on the other hand was made to handle the amount of power you could tweak out of it. let alone 500 lbs of torque (aftermarket parts on the Vette) would twist a lot of car's frames today. A civic would snap an axle with it's horsepower around 300hp without an aftermarket axle. There are too many different things you could do with a car that you need to be as specific as possible about what you want it to do.

Example - I want a quarter mile car. This specific Civic would be an excellent choice to have.
Next thing you have to ask - How fast do you want it to go?
and then this one - How much Cash you got?

you are funny....
a modified civic will handle much better than a Vette mainly becuz of weight

Yeah, I can already see it..."But it's still a Honda." "It's still fwd." Blah blah blah.

Yes, it is still a Honda. Yes, it is still fwd. Yes, it would rape any stock Viper out there.;)

A pig is still a pig even with lipstick on it.

:odd: Yeah, it can beat a stock Viper, so what? By the time you got thru with all the mods you could have bought a Viper.

The Viper has had some motor work done, he runs 10's w/out nitrous and 9's with. A Civic keeping up with a stock Viper is nothing short of amazing, on the street no less. A Civic keeping up with a Viper that runs 10's is incredible.

Yes, it is still fwd.

But Josh, isnt FWD, wrong wheel drive?!

Just kidding, this Civic amazed me. The first time that race, of his civic vs the Viper, it was great! Mad love to cheesefrog.

the civic will out handle the 427 vette simply because a stock 427 vette handles like a drunk pig on ice..... hell even the corvette z06 pulls only 1.01 on the skid pad.... and my g/f's del sol s did 1.013 (2 way average) on a 300 foot skid pad. (20k total including price of car)

and to the guy who said the boost would have to build while exiting..... actually the boost not being full while he is exiting keeps him from oversteer... then as the pressure builds back on the straight he can take advantage of the boost that builds.

you people know **** about cars.

yah i'm a noob... and i said it.
