FAQ
​
Q: I want to participate in the WMT/TBS series. How do I register?

A: Easy. You can sign up to any of our events using the Club features in-game. You would then share on your game profile the vehicle with which you're participating for all to see.

Q: How do I then report battle results?

A: GT Club events automatically post race results for you. In the case of TBS, you would report using the same format for LOTS/WMT but instead of posting on GTP, you'd do so in the event comments section in-game.

Q: What does this mean for the Leaderboards? Will they still be available online?

A: Yes, they will. But scores will be posted in-game by myself. Leaderboards will then be shared online in the Past Events section of the thread for all to see.


Q: So does this mean there will be no signup form for WMT S7?

A: That's exactly what that means. But it does NOT mean there wont be a Season 7. The event is already live on the Club Page.


Q: How do I partake in an official battle?

A: For WMT, you'll host an event lobby for others to join. For TBS, you will convene with your scheduled opponent (Bracket el be posted in-game and on GTP) at your best conveniences in the designated event lobby.


Q: Will there be an updated rivals list so we can know who to battle?

A: Yes. The GT6 Community website allows you to view the PSN ID's of those who have signed up for the event (link coming soon). It will also be shared on the Past Events section of this thread.

Q: So what does this mean for the GTP Thread?

A: The thread will still be active. But somply as a place to find past events, records, detailed information on current events, and to convene and converse about Club happenings and the like.

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Wangan Masters Tournament. Here drivers of all skill levels are allowed to compete for the ultimate in bragging rights, who is the fastest on the Wangan?! This competition takes nerve, determination, skill, and tuning know-how (or good connections for where to good setups). Preseason will run for two(2) weeks and players will earn points in order to climb up the leaderboard. At the end of the season, the top three(3) ranked drivers will settle who is the fastest in a 3-way battle for Wangan supremacy and the title of Wangan Emperor!

CAR SELECTION AND TUNING REGULATIONS
Car Selection
Each driver may have only one registered car per class (more classes in future seasons)
Selected car must be a road legal car
No RM / Rally / Concept / Tuner cars will be allowed
You CANNOT change cars after you have registered

Tuning Parts & Restrictions
(Two separate running classes, never run against each other)
Ballast Use is STRICTLY PROHIBITED
Power Limiter Use: 5%
Fully Customizable Transmissions ARE allowed and ENCOURAGED (duh...)

Battle Rules:
  • First and foremost, you MUST be registered as a Driver before you can partake in official races.
  • Make sure you have read the vehicle tuning restrictions and have chosen a worthy vehicle that adjourns to all regulations as you MAY NOT change it once registered
  • You can only race the same Driver and enter the result of that race ONCE per WEEK in 1v1 or 3-way races.
  • The exception to the above rule is for races with >4 Drivers participating.
    This means that If you raced have already raced "Driver1", "Driver2" and "Driver3" this week, you will not be able to race them again until next week unless they are they are participating in a race hosted by "Driver4" where you all participate
  • You can only participate in TWO(2) races with >4 Drivers per WEEK
    With that being said.. I suggest you manage your time wisely and reserve those races for if/when you can race alongside teammates against other teams in order. Though if you haven't signed up for a team, i still suggest you use your race time wisely as all stats and races WILL be kept track of.

Points System
After each race, the player which hosted the lobby posts the race results and every participating driver's finishing position. The results posted are assumed to be correct, so it it every driver's own responsibility to address any discrepancies on the thread by quoting the results' post and commenting in regards to their issue. Take note that since you will be driving with the same group of people throughout the season reputations will be made. Good and Bad. So do your best to drive clean and safely or you will be penalized and/or suspended (more on that in a later section).

Individual Scoring:
After each race, the driver's placement will determine how much points they earn towards their Season Score

1v1

Only the top [even number of drivers] 8-16 lap times will be seeded into the bracket, which will then be posted here for participating drivers to see who they're scheduled to battle.

This phase can take less than or more than a week, since you can battle at any time convenient for you and your opponent.​
Closure
A new bracket will open once the current one is completed. There will be different regulations and themes for future brackets. Feel free to make suggestions!​

also, people were exploiting the 10% ballast allowed from before. Especially on really heavy cars to have so much power. Slender's SL600 that you see in the HoF section had over 900hp.

I'm saying the preseason will run one week longer.

If you have a bad NAT Type, try hosting small lobbies with low voice quality, or mics disabled. Room quality at 3-4 stars would be ok.

As with LotS, hosting official lobbies with official settings will garner more attention and better competition. The community would benefit greatly from it, as we tend to be mostly the same group of people who dabble in street racing series'.

Just to be sure, was the race at Special Stage R5 or the shorter Clubman Stage R5?

It was special stage rt 5 the longer version. And Ty, just wish it as a bit smoother towards last lap lol, it was hilarious though watching our cars weave around on the straight barely reachig 35 mph, reminded me of taledega nights when thy got out ad had a foot race lmao

The reason why the course is the Clubman Stage as opposed to the Special Stage is to keep it on the Freeway and avoid the city streets.

Basically, it's the C1 Stage from the Wangan Midnight anime.
