Very nice  👍 Are you new to the series?

Caaan't waaaittt!!

I had the other two on the PS3, using the DFGT, along with F1 Championship Edition. This one will be the first one on the Xbox, using my Fanatec.

A little off topic, but does anyone know where I can get the latest update for the Fanatec CSR. I have the original firmware, and it's been working fine for me. I've played the F12012 demo a few times, and I'm going to need to change the settings, and I don't want to do it every time I play.

As for F12012, I still need to try and find the settings that I like. I think once I get that, I can start to get use to the physics. I'm so used to Forza 4 right now, which makes it a little difficult for me.

How much of a difference can you make? I've never changed anything on my wheel, does that mean I can make it better or.. ?

Ignoring the fact that I'm absolutely horrible at the demo, I'm completely in love. I wish racing in Forza was a fraction of what it's like in this game.

I need to download it on PS3 so I can at least try it with a wheel.

For me, it was pretty bad. 900 was useless, and 270 was too touchy for me, and if felt like I only needed to turn my wheel an inch, to be able to clear most corners. Right now, 350 feels pretty good. My ABS is at 95. I don't know if it was me, not being use to the braking physics, but I could not stop my car. Once, I got that set, and got use to the physics, I like it a lot more now.

I still struggle under braking, with locking up the tires. I believe that's me though, because I keep a constant pressure through out, until I release my brakes. The engineer, says to go hard on brakes, and when you slow down, let off the brakes slowly, to avoid locking up.

Looking forward to the game!
Seems like it will be a lot of fun :)
Demo makes me think the steering is a fraction too sensitive but I might just have to adapt.
Might have to join a series too. Best bit for me = Kimi's return!

I bought F1 2010 and 2011 ( Tis' was $45 and change for both! ) again to have some freetime fun before drilling down on 2012 before work... I found the 2012 demo to be like 2010. I forgot how "Floaty" 2011 was.

Definitely makes me excited for F1 2012!

Haha yeah I think 900 is a bit too much. I can't help you with the steering, I have mine stock and I like short steering angle...

I brake like you said but but still in a smooth way. Not like BAMM. Not sure how to tell you xD And your steeringwhe vibrates just before it's locking up and I usually count on that sign and it's working 9/10.. But I have elite pedals so that could make a difference.

I think my problem with braking is, that I'm using the braking arrows, on where I should brake. Which is why I can't stop in time. I have to brake a little earlier than the arrows. Once I figured that out, I didn't have that problem, anymore, as long as I kept my concentration up.

One thing I noticed though, was when I brake at turn at the same time. The tire with the less load, will lock up. Thought that was pretty cool. Don't remember if it did that in the other two games.

I think I will have to use Hard AI, instead of Medium, because once I got my driving sorted out, I finished 16 seconds in front of 2nd place. About 3 seconds quicker per lap than the AI.

Edit: Finally updated my wheel to version 706. My settings are finally saved, and no more loud fan noise, when in Xbox mode.

Oh wow I thought I was the only one! What is that noise? I was scared so I turned the wheel of and on until the noise stopped :boggled: So I just have to put the wheel to the PC and update it??

It's the fan. Nothing wrong with your wheel.

Just download the latest firmware and choose 32 or 64 bit (which ever you have). It's easy.

Like Patrick said, it's the fan, nothing to worry about. After I updated it, and the noise was gone. I can no longer tell if it's on just by hearing it. Kind have gotten use to it since I've owned it.

Here's a video that I followed.

Last year I got the game a day early pre ordering with ShopTo.net, so I pre ordered with them again and I'm taking Thursday off work (for alcohol related symptoms) so hopefully our post is on time!

I always order with them, 8 out 0f 10 games will come a couple of days early

Thanks that video was helpful. I was a bit scared of bricking it after reading alot of thsoe scary messages on other boards :scared: But like Patrick said, pretty easy! :D

On the demo for some reason I'm really struggling with doing DRS, KERS and manual shifting without messing something up. I always forget about the DRS unless it's a big long straight and then I end up forgetting about KERS until I have a look towards the end of the lap.

I like how the AI will actually try and overtake but they don't put much effort into defending their position which means you get to the braking zone and they just seem to give up. My favourite thing to do is start from the back of the grid and try to get to first on the hard difficulty, this was made easy for me once when somehow Maldonado went up to 1st in 1 lap and then proceeded to hold them all up.

The 750B right?

Edit:
installed the 750b, I still get that crazy fan noise in the beginning but then the wheel turns left and right again and it's over. Thanks for the help 👍

Hm now the wheel keeps shaking when I put it on and it only stops when I touch it. The ffb is on full power all the time so it's very hard to steer and the pedals don't work properly.. It completed the update alright though.

Edit;
I need to tune my wheel but I have never done this. I've found a nice website explaining exactly what is and does so wish me luck :D (not going to get someones tune so I never know what feels best)

Edit 2;
Niceee. Got it how it first was and them tweeked it a bit more and it's much nicer :D

:( I have to wait for the 21st! Why :(

Edit:
I was reading on GTP and saw some guys talking about FP2 and 3 are removed.. I always did the practices, trying car settings on the beginning while track is empty. Although since I got a seat at RedBull I left it stock. But still, removing it is a bit harsh..
