## RACE YOUR WAY - F1® 25 DEEP DIVE #2 🏁

Learn more about circuit changes, customisation, and much more in this year's F1® 25.

We've just dropped even more info about [*F1® 25*'s big year-on-year advancements]( ). Here are some of the highlights:

  • LIDAR circuits (Bahrain, Miami, Melbourne, Suzuka and Imola) have been introduced to the game for the first time
  • Reverse track layouts also added - Silverstone, Zandvoort, and the Red Bull Ring
  • New Decal Editor introduced, allowing you to make custom liveries, including the option to select different fonts/styles of driver numbers
  • Doubled the pool of real-world radio audio, including those from team principals and during Qualifying
  • Handling revisions, AI enhancements, and more.

Be sure to check out the full deep dive blog as there's a lot more to read than in the video. That can be found by clicking here //

A huge array of excellent changes and additions, the handling changes sound very promising, the visuals have definitely had a noticeable boost, particularly in the texture department. Special liveries will now be available on the correct cars in all modes when unlocked as well. Reverse circuits can be used in the career modes from the 2nd season onwards.

Positive.

This might be the first F1 title I purchase close to or at release - the driver/manager style of gameplay sounds interesting and reminds me of the Player Manager footy games.
naaaa im waiting till we get gameplay from the Jarno and Avaraa. If they like the physics then I'll dive in.

When will I be able to just drive as my favorite driver on my favorite team?

Yes, driver career let's you choose to be one of the existing drivers. Also Grand Prix mode you can do a full championship without the career mode elements.

Didn't EA buy Codemasters?
Yes that was a shame

F1 25 looks increasingly to be a good step upwards from the previous few. That's very clear to see in what we've been shown so far. Long way from being sunk just yet.

Positive My Team changes, it needed a big refresh and that was one of the big things I needed to see before deciding to buy and they've made good on that. If it can be stitched around improved AI (which is usually good anyway) and a solid driving model (lighter feel and more punishing curbs) then it'll be a very solid entry.

Ill wait till its out, ditching last gen is a good move so they can focus on the power on current gen

Was it? Think I'd rather have EA Codemasters and the games they've made so far than not have Codemasters at all, because that was the alternative
Take-Two Interactive were also in the running, would they have been better maybe or maybe not we will never know now.

Extremely unlikely they would have been better. If people think EA like to rinse their players then they haven't tried a 2k sports game before.

People really forgot how 2K didn't just feature a game with Gambling mechanics, they proudly advertised it front AND center.

As someone who plays NBA 2K, this is 200% the truth.

Everything online is VC'd out the ass. The cheapest cosmetics are probably hats at just under 1,000 VC whilst shoes, durags, shirts, hoodies, jerseys can go anywhere from 1,000-30,000+ VC for 1 item. That's several hours of playing just to buy 1 cosmetic on average, assuming you've already spent several hours earning 1,000 VC at most per game in 30-40 minutes to buy attribute points/badges to make your player better that will also cost tens & tens of thousands of VC.

Now imagine this thrown into a F1 game where Senna's iconic helmet would probably be 30,000 VC at best or in real world financial terms: $10.

2K is the worst. I sincerely hope they don't get WRC or F1 licenses

PGA 2k25 is much the same story. 50-100vc per round of golf (25 minutes play) cosmetics are cheaper than NBA at anything from 500 to 3000vc, but player levelling requires a combination of VC and AP, AP to level and VC to pay for the levelling at 250vc per point, (approx 2 and a bit hours gameplay per AP). They also lock certain things behind different player archetypes which forces you to make multiple characters which means you need 6 times the amount of VC to level them all up to earn all the skills in the game). They've also in the last updated changed the Evo tool system, which is used to level up gear, previously needing one Evo tool to level up, now needing 2 or 3, can't earn them in gameplay, have to buy them, 1 a day at 2750vc, almost 40 rounds of golf on average, almost 17 hours of single player gameplay, to earn one of the tools 😅. 2700vc costing £15 in the store.

All made worse by the fact the game economy was ok during the early access and then was heavily nerfed after the reviews came out, praising the game. Which obviously makes it look even worse.
