I was tired of my teammate, he was faster than me.
But the car was just dreadful, a red-and-blue jalopy.
So during the practice session, I left you with no employee.
But you found Mr. Zunino, who was slower than a tree.

If you like flying airplanes, or wearing a red hat
But you're not into driving, why should I do that?
Let's see you win titles for Enzo, in that 312T Ferrari!
Even though the car nearly killed me, I didn't get so much as a "sorry".

Bernie's too busy for his team now, he'll just use a customer engine
And make sponsor deals, with companies I shouldn't mention.
But I couldn't stand the Old Man, since he'd low-ball my pay
And gave me a teammate, whom I'd beat any day.

If you like pina colladas, and crashing out in the rain
If you're into world domination, and Alfa Romeo engines required only half a brain.
If you like making deals at midnight, and making sponsors happy.
You just have to promise me, that the car won't be crappy.

Bernie worked a deal out, so I could get back to work
Flying these big airplanes, doesn't give me a smirk.
So I picked up the phone, and asked Bernie to play tennis.
Then I casually asked him, If he'd work a deal with Ron Dennis.
 
That would win, hands down :). However, like real pre-season testing, it means squat in the point standings :P.
