I was doing a race with my F1, and tweaked some settings to make it slightly more stable (ride height, spring rate). Then I come back to my garage and find it floating about 6 feet off the ground.

Has anyone else seen this? I found it odd...And it doesn't float like that in PhotoMode, or while driving.

It's the next generation of Formula 1 cars!
Zero rolling resistance and you can just float right over the other cars.

 :D Looks awsome - wierd, but awseome :D

Never happened to me before - what settings did you play with, what did you set them to and what race did you run? Also, it's a constant thing is it - whenever you go back to the garage it's always floating? :)

Ride height is at like 52/55 or something. I can get exacts tomorrow. The race was Opera Paris and/or Hong Kong in GT World, and I haven't driven it or changed settings since then. It's been about 3 or 4 game weeks since it initially happened. It also floats like that in the main garage screen.

Are you sure this isnt the Mercedes CLR?

Is that some kind of joke that im not getting?...lol

You weren't putting drugs in your PS2 were you? Cause the last time I saw stuff like that, I...Uhh...Drugs are bad.

I'f hat to spoil it for everyone but that pic is fake, you can clearly see a grey line under the car, that's a part of the spotlight effect

I'm sure someone photoshopped the memory of all the people who witnessed it and the countless videos that captured it flipping.

i think he was referring to the original post.. not what you had to say.

fareway, the car is on the wrong perspective to be photoshopped.
however i find it difficult to understand how he was tweaking his F1 setup when he clearly has the mazda selected.

HAHAA.. nicely picked up dude.. i cant believe someone hasnt picked this up earlier...

He obviously states that he was in a race while tweaking his car, then came back to his garage where he probably switched into the 787b and then came back to the F1 car. I can't believe you two haven't picked this up earlier.

As for its validity, I don't really care. But, as for a solution, I don't know what to say.

ah, i get ya.. Thats possibly why noone picked up on it before then.. hahaha :dunce:

I don't think it's photshopped, as mentioned before the perspective is wrong.

Also, the Mazda 787B is the currently selected car, but he's viewing the F1. One thing that is interesting though, it seems that he's using a Japanese version of GT4, or at least his language is set to Japanese, yet he lists his location as NY which I assume is New York...

The plot thickens. :)

lots of people ordered JPN versions of GT4 as it came out December 2004, not March 2005 or whenever (going by PAL date for me).

It looks like a photo an FIA official took in the BAR Formula 1 garage, which led to the suspicions that the BARs may be underweight

My F1 settings:
Brakes: 7/8
Springs: 13.6/13.1
Height: 56/59
Shocks: all 8
Camber: 3.2/2.9
Toe: 0/-1
Gears: autoset 16
Assists: all 2
Aero: max
LSD: default

That's the settings under set A. If I switch to Set B, with default settings, it falls back down. Go back to set A, it's floating again. I haven't tried adjusting stuff at all in Set A though, so I don't know what the magic numbers are.

P.S. The BAR joke was teh funnay!

tell us everything on your game what day your on your percentage a-spec points b-spec points cause if this isnt a fake then thats a pretty awsome F1 you got there, you should try copying the data onto a nother memory card?? maybe it will make a difference. or just save it and mess around with the settings in one memory card to see what the magic # are and if you can't get it back then just load your other memory card.
