It does look good. I'd expect it to though, it's had quite a long development (couple years maybe more) and they can focus almost solely on visuals, no driving physics, AI etc. The Codemasters engine is very out of date though and if it actually looks this good in motion then questions will naturally be asked.
I wonder if there's been an agreement in place where they've had to limit what they've shared as it's been the time for features announcements and trailer rollouts for EA's title.
They have been pretty quiet up to the last couple of days when you think this thing should be ready to go at this point. Looking forward to the new info!

Gameplay details. I like the idea that they've recorded actual radio calls from drivers and engineers, I wondered if they were just for dramatic effect in the trailer bit it's there in game. Very cool.
Yeah I'd be surprised if we could change race lengths when that's an option. Would be a nightmare development wise to scale everything to different race lengths. When it's so strategy heavy.
I'm still amazed at the visuals for the races, it really looks quite excellent, I wasn't expecting a 3D depiction at all, nevermind one of that quality. Right down to the broadcast overlays and styling, very nice indeed.
PS5 pre-order price is currently £46.99. Versus £62.99 for F1 22, big gap in price, there's a real risk for EA and F1 22 that they could lose buyers to this game. F1 22 really needs to pull it out.
I still want to know more about what the game is like once you really get into it. One or two seasons of fun is okay, but what happens after that? Are there regens? Can you actually get different engine deals? What happens if you take over Alpha Tauri?

"Thankfully, F1 Manager 2022 will be an extremely long experience. As stated in the Twitter Space there is "almost not a limit" for the number of seasons you can play.
In short, as long as you keep the board happy and achieve your targets then you can keep playing on and on and on! This means you'll also have to think ahead, manage budgets for future seasons, and develop long-term strategies.
Regen drivers & staff
Part of this is because as drivers and staff members retire, a pool of "regens" is created that enter the game. This will be in the form of new F3 drivers and up-and-coming members of staff. While there are real-world personnel and drivers, these will be replaced by fictional drivers and staff after they retire."
F1 Manager 2022 will last for as long as you stay in the job!

Very Football Manager in its approach there. No mention of engine deals or anything yet, I'd imagine due to licensing this won't be possible. Perhaps for the next iteration with a custom team it will be. Or even managing an F2 or F3 team to F1.

A new official F1 management simulator, F1 Manager 2022, is set to launch on August 30 — with early access starting August 25 — for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC...

Interesting, but worth noting Football Manager has taken many iterations to get to a point where regens work well (enough) and its world can technically go on forever.
How F1 will do it first try will be the test of its longevity. I do wonder with the photos and likenesses of the real drivers and staff (which is awesome!), will there be 3D model equivalents for regens, as there is in FM, or are we looking at blank spaces once we move past the point of real staff retirements which would be disappointing and undermine their otherwise excellent attention to graphics and visual quality.
I enjoyed the gameplay video. Graphics look very good. Management options look in depth. I will definitely be buying this. Maybe not at launch but I think I will be getting this.
The game will feature detailed red flag scenarios.
You can change parts as well under red flag conditions as per real life, so there's a real strategy element to these as well as just being accurate to real life.
Getting very hyped for this now. I'm impressed every time I see the visuals but honestly as F1 22 gets closer the desire for something different to the yearly CM experience gets a lot higher, I'm almost already disappointed in their effort (or lack of) and really appreciative we have something brand new to dive into in a couple of months. And it looks the business.
