I hear ya! I developed a nasty habit of lifting off the throttle in the Porsche Curves and well....I wrecked big! or every time I got up to pass the AI, they would bump me into the grass and /or the wall and well...I wrecked! Next race please!

i think i have better luck whan i race,but qua is really frustrating,when i go one sec faster than my record,i crash hard at porsche crave or some even more stupid mistake like spin at the last corner,i thought i should have fun this week with my favourite track,but things just not go as smooth as i thought:grumpy:
 
I havnt even given the race a go yet, i'll have to get right on it now as the deadline cant be too far away.

Racefan, mind if I ask your location, i'll set one of my computers clocks to it so I can be certain of when the deadlines are, thanks.

The main thread says Midnight EST on September 25. I believe that is 9:00GMT, right? Don't try too hard East:sly: :bowdown: :sly:

I havent run a real race in with other cars in three or four months. My passing and general driving skills have gone to ****e.
I have tried the race a few times but dont know if I will get a time to submit. I dont feel like just finnishing no matter what like last week

I did the same thing last week, but I at least waited to get a race where I only spun once and had one penalty. This time I got so damn frustrated I just couldn't stand it anymore and had to submit anytime so I just got six laps done, I couldn't tell you how many mistakes I made, but it's F#$%ing done! I almost want to just do all of them and get it over with and move onto the next thing all together. I just can't do in arcade mode what I could do in GT mode, and it's just too hard to adapt after all these years. I don't know what to do. I can't even tell you how many times I've walked over to my comp. and typed up a post telling you guys that I quit, but for some reason I just can't do it. Maybe after the next couple I'll finally be pissed off enough to quit all together, but who knows. AAAGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!!!:grumpy:
 
Haha hell I thought I was the only one who didnt want to deal with the high speed turns in this unstable car I did one and only one attempt at about 80% of what I know I can get but getting there is just rediculous. Submitted time.

I didn't mind my Qualy so much but the race was the bullocks! Very frustrating...I am going to go ahead and submit my time now....AngelCreator may be pulling me around the track on this one!:sick: :sick: :sick:

Now I would not say that, because I had no fun with this race either:grumpy:.
And something I don't like is when I would drive the car my DFP would shake
like :crazy:, anyways i'm sending in my time.

I sure hear you on that! Arcade mode has ruined this car. I don't now how anybody would like the way this car drives. I feel like I'm driving somebody elses crappy setup.. Its driving me crazy :crazy: that I can't tune this car.
Oh, I've thought about quiting many of times because of that.
I'm going to continue on for Team Willams and maybe try and be optimistic about Arcade Mode that everyone likes and maybe adjust or learn the horrible mode. The more I play in Arcade Mode the more I hate it though. Sooo... it is'nt looking promising.

And, how annoying is that interminable rolling start? Especially when you screw up the first corner straight afterwards.

Like many others, it looks like I may just have to submit the first clean race, assuming I get one done tonight :nervous:
 
lol, am I the only one who didnt have trouble with this race? After restarting about 5 times for crashing into the AI, I managed to convert my first attempt into a clean race once I got past them cleanly :)

i have no problem with the race at all,i just very disapointment how many time i screw up at the qua:)

I hope I didn't do something stupid...but I came to a stop right after the start sign, like it said in the original thread.

We will use the Formula Gran Turismo Cars.
Any tuning may be done
We will use standing starts come to a COMPLETE STOP just before start/finsih then when you are ready you will hit the throttle and begin you race.Top 3 places in each race will recive rewards wieght: (If you hit top rewards wieght and continue to dominate I will limit downforce ext.) if we do arcad i will limit wieght first then power)
1st- 35kg
2nd- 25kg
3rd- 15kg

you just making me nervous:nervous: i didn't follow the rules:(
 
I'm pretty sure that rule applied when we thought races were to be done in GT mode so that we could simulate a start, but it's not quite clear and it doesn't appear in post 1 of the race threads.

Anyway, I certainly haven't done it either. It seemed obvious from the Suzuka race (standing start) that the rule was defunct so I never thought about it again...

EDIT: time submitted, thank god (and not too bad in the end - we'll see).
Maybe everyone except daddy-o will be DQ'd this week though!!
 
I bet none of us did the complete stop in the Qualify run with race 1 and nobody said anything. I think that if it was inforced it would of been in Race 2 rules in racefans first post. There was a few things undecided in the very first F1GT thread.
 
yes please dont go off the rules in the interest thread go off the rules in the thread for that race daddy-o you may reend me your time without stopping if you wish

Sorry Geo but due to my brother being "sick" I was not allowed in the room that the ps2 is so I was unable to submit another breathtaking time.:sly:

Sorry Martin, I really did not want to battle the car on the back turns did only 1 race and submitted, laguna will be a diff story tho, I will get back on the podium I hope :)

No worries - we're still holding on! 👍 I can quite understand your feelings about the race too - it was the most frustrating combo I've ever done anyway, but weirdly it just seemed to click all of a sudden and I stopped going off track at every corner, trouble was it happened too late to make much of it, again :dunce:

On to round 3 then - let's hope YIN's penalties will start to weigh down a bit (well, a lot!) :sly:
 
That's okay ommlettes. Am I missing something? I don't see where the times are posted.
