F40 and ABS

I haven't drove all the cars yet but after tuning this car up in FREE RUN mode this car is the most rewarding to drive IMO. It's just so God dam challenging man , you've got to gently gently squeeze the gas on the exit .. to much and your a goner. overall this car is beautiful !!!!!

This car doesn't do too well online but I just can't stop driving it even if it's at the back of the pack quite often.

ABS can be used in any event online which is slightly disappointing as everyone uses , I prefer not to use it but I really would be a mobile chicane in the corners if I turned of ABS.

My question is Does the Ferrari F40 have ABS in real life and is ABS used in racing in real life ?

I did a quick search, as well few members told me F40 does not have ABS. As for Racing and ABS, I really don't know. But on what I know, Mostly there is no ABS. With ABS car won't have maximum stopping power compared to no ABS.
 
No the F40 does not have ABS in real life, I also don't use ABS on the F40 and it is a great driver.

Not a car I would go online and race anyone with, but I love to drive it on my own.

To a point, the advantage with ABS is the system can control individual brakes (wheels), while the driver alone cannot. This helps with trail in braking and odd conditions.
 
Why you guy's won't go online with it? Is it slow compared to new cars?
I always Loved to pick a weak link. I remeber there was a race of Sports class I think, NSX, STI, EVO, umm.. cars like that. Only tires permited were the N1, and I always Picked the Clio V6, while most people picked EVO, STIs or Skyline. It was like driving on ICE. But oh well, I always managed to get a 6th place, sometimes 4th with 12-16 people. :)
I love challenge and I always wanna pick a car that no one really uses and show them they are still in the game ;) hehe

Regards to online I was a little disheartened last night . I noticed alot of people using the tuned Elise which has a fast cornering speed. Obviously that's ok but when the general mentally of the driver is to overtake at all coasts is dissapointing.

I know we're always going to get these types of users so long as the online is uncontrollable events but the percentage of these drivers is high. I think it's been said before that the offline events actually promotes overtake at all coasts driving and that could be a contributed factor of the high percentage of do or die tactics.

I'm not saying if you drive a tuned Elise online your a bad driver in fact there was a variety of cars doing the same. I also had experiences where I got knocked into another drivers , he thought I did it all by my self , I have no way of communicating to him he subsequently takes me out .

Roll on private rooms .

I went online yesterday with my no-abs, no-aids, no-****, S2-tires-fitted F40 and I' got pretty much rapped by all those esteroid-powered, big-wing, R2-tires-fitted 4WD---

I agree 100% a pleasure to drive and I do race online with it.

F40 have no drivers aid what so ever. This is one of the last generation of Supercars that simply rich enough to buy it is not enough.
 
You know what at first I thought it oversteered like a bitch and was impossible to control......but after a while you really start to get stuck in with it and now I think it's brilliant and imo it's the best car on the game :D It's just it was built to teach pure car control. Absolutlely amzing car ah...I remember all the posters that car used to be on :).
