Post your thoughts on the upcoming sequal to the beutiful fable/fable:lost chapters.

It looks pretty good so far, it is set some 500 years in the future so it is entering the industrial revolution and in the trailer you can see the use of guns and a female character who is highly likely to be playable...

I never played the first Fable, so I do not really have any thoughts on the second game as of yet. Just watched the trailer and it looked pretty good.

You should hire out th first one as it is quit a good game and has awsome graphics. It is also pretty short though.

I'll have to find myself a connection to my router for my 360 first, as I still have not gotten around to figuring out what I am going to do about it at the moment.

i hope they dont include guns as i loved the first game and the way you could get different types of swords, hammers, pick axes, axes etc. and use magic but with guns included all thats going to happen is youll get shot or itll be too easy to just go and shoot an animal etc. from far off or even close up

What is Fable similar to? Is it like Kameo or Gauntlet? I heard a lot of great things about Fable 1 so I will be at least keeping an eye on Fable 2. Is it a RPG or free roaming with total control in the fights?

Its both really. It just feels too simplified for me but its easy to get into for everyone. MY ex though Morrowind was too complicated with classes and spells, But she likes Fable because its simplified.

I ask because I really like how Kameo is laid out. Thats a fantastic and very colorful game. Fable looked very similar to that. I dont like RPG games like Final Fantasy so if its like that I am out.

The original Fable felt like an RPG-lite game. Most things were done for you and didn't require much character management - Oblivion on PC and 360 is quite the opposite, for example. It was a bit easy too. Still, I liked it, particularly the customising of your character with tattoo's and haircuts etc.
I'm expecting big things with Fable 2. So far I've only seen a pre-rendered trailer but I probably will get it when it's released.

I've seen October 20th and December 12th as release dates. But I don't think it has one officially. I'd be very surprised to see it released before Christmas as there's still little real info on the game. I'd also be surprised to see Forza 2 before Christmas, but I guess there may be a chance, if remote.

Ive have to agree with you on the forza 2 issue as the demo and vids still havn't arrived on the marketplace:(

Well this is an old thread!!

I'm surprised there is no activity here! No one else playing this?

I put a few hours in so far and the game is excellent, alot of people are complaining about glitches and other things but im really enjoying it so far!

While the co-op is kinda disappointing, the single player is extremely addictive. I also like the ability to interact with anyone else I see. Gives a sense of realism and the world feels immersive when you see 8-9 other orbs floating around you knowing they are real people. I saw over 18 orbs last nigh while in the market. All real life people. The only other game that gave me that feeling was Test Drive Unlimited.
I spend most of my time in Fable 2 just searching for properties to buy and making people happy. I think I have only actually finished about 3-4 missions. Everything else is just so much fun.

I'm also having a blast with this game.... Very addictive. I'm all about buying as much property as possible. Up to about $2200 of rent/shop income now and a level 5 bartender, go figure. Once I don't have to worry about my finances, I'll forge on and complete some quests. I haven't tried any online play. It was a cool touch going to the Fable website, going through their little play and having those prizes show up in the treasure chest at the guild. Very cool. Also like making money while the console is off. It makes me wonder throughout the day how much money I'm making. The first think I do when I get home is turn on Fable II and check my new income. :D

Same here! I have 3 properties and a drink stall! Making about 120 gold coins every 5 mins!

I think its awesome, i'm going for 100% evil and 100% corrupt! My guys face is already glowing red with red veins!

I've only seen my friends orbs - is there something i have not enabled to see other gamers?

@ Pako - When your console is off its every hour you get an income instead of every 5 minutes!

@ CAMAROBOY69 - co op is very dissapointing - i hate the way you cannot pan the camera angle :( as the two players must be on the screen at the same time!

Pako its an amazing experience when you are playing with all the real life people orbs on. You see them floating around going where you are and sometimes talking to each other asking for help. Like I said no game has made me feel like I was in a real world besides this one and TDU. 👍
I also like how the money is added in real time. Usually I am making about $5,000 gold every 5-10 minutes. SO by the time I turn it on the next day I have a LOT of money all from property. The wife and kids do take some of that. lol

Be sure to buy the bars and the potion shops. They'll give you your best income. The Bar in Bowerstone alone gives me almost 700 gold. Once I own all the property, expect a price increase on ALL goods and services. :D

Nice! I'm getting there..... The more I make, the easier it's getting to dominate the real estate market.

If Browerstone is the main market town then I own EVERY shop, house, and business in that town. Ever single one. I edited my reply above with my $5,000 gold every 5-10 minutes. I even cut the rent down to 20%-40% off to help the economy and I am still making a ton of money.
I love games that allow you to purchase and make money off of property. Thats also why I love Saints Row 2 so much.

Nice! Thanks for the tip.

How much did you pay for the bar if you can remember?

I think the bar in Bowerstone was right around $70k and the bar in Oakvale was around $39K if memory serves me correctly.

I noticed the prices depend on how much the people know you or like you. Also if the employee of a business likes you they will work harder to get you more money. A lot of little features to the game that really impress me. Cant wait to see how much money I have earned since yesterday. I will probably have at least $100,000 more in my account.
I am having one problem. I cant seem to buy furniture. Only a book.

Huh, do you own the furniture store in Bowerstone? I haven't tried any furniture purchases either. Do you have a house that you live in or just rentals?

I own every store in Bowerstone (I think thats the main marketplace) including the furniture store. I bought 2 houses with 2 different wives and children. Heather1 and Heather2 just in case one of them dies. lol The rest of the houses I rented out. (thats how I have so much money)
I have checked several forums and many people are having this furniture problem. The wife wants new furniture, I go to the furniture store and the lady only has a book. I have a lot of money and want to spend it at the furniture store.

I worked out a way to get very very easy money on Fable 2 the other day whilst at my friends (I don't have my own 360), it's very easy and kinda silly how they made it so.

Note: contains possible spoilers.

Make sure you're not signed into Live, start up Fable and get playing.

Buy as many properties and shops as you can, renting out all houses. This will give you an income, the higher, the better.

Save and go back to the dashboard and go to the time and date settings, set the time forward any amount really, not sure how much is needed as the game will make it so you can only receive a maximum amount regardless, so go for say a year.

Start up Fable again, load your save and wait for the payout, buy more properties and repeat the process, this will eventually end up giving 10,000s, then 100,000s up to millions at a time. We tested the theory once we had done most of the game so it didn't make it to easy, but this is a huge time save for things like buying Fairfax Castle at the end.

I would never turn down a paying customer in my furtiture. I've trained my employee's better than that.....

;)

Yeah, I don't know. With some additional income tonight, I'll try to buy some furniture.

@Dragonistic,

I thought about doing that.... but I didn't want to take too much of my ambition away from the game. I have come across that method while perusing the net as well...., with my mad level 5 bartending skills, such tactics are not necessary. ;)

In any game I play I try to make the money legit so it truly feels like I earned it. Spending hours at the blacksmith, chopping wood and buying property are all good enough for me. Plus it makes the game last a lot longer since you work for the money.
I wont read the spoiler but if you need money there are plenty of people online that are just willing to give money away. At times you will see up to 18 orbs and they are real people. Just ask outloud if you truly want money and people online can be quite generous.
