You have to set it using the ABS Setting on the wheel. Otherwise, no, it doesn't work when you lock the brakes.

I see will the brake vibration motor be activate if under wheel lock in gt5 game if i set to zero abs?

My understanding is that GT5 (and all other games at this point) does NOT transmit data regarding wheel lockup to controller devices (FFB racing wheel and pedals).

The best you can do is guess at what percentage of brake input wheel lockup or ABS kicks in and manually set the motor to vibrate at this fixed level of brake input. Note that your best guess is probably not going to be very accurate.

In summary, the abs vibration function is not fully supported by GT5 or any other racing sim.

That's as close as it gets to set it manually ,better than nothing I guess.

Thanks for the info.👍

I get abs vibration in iRacing on my CSPs via USB (my guess is the csp plugin talks to the iRacing API to get the threshold data). But yeah console I'd imagine that's the case

Is the plugin officially supported or developed by iRacing or Fanatec. If not, does it actually have access to iRacing's threshold data, or is it simply an approximation?

I was under the impression that the plugin approximates the threshold point. Just curious. I would be excited if it was actually officially supported.

I'm pretty sure its supported on pc officially :) it maybe an approximation not sure

On console like others have said you have to set it manually

From the creator of the iRacing plugin:

Actually, there is no official tool to support CSP brake vibration for iRacing...

The brake vibration come when tires lockup but iRacing Telemetry doesn't have this information for security reason, so the tool estimate the lockup...

iRacing API does output the amount of brake force applied so my guess he's tied into that:

Brake 0=brake released to 1=max pedal force %
scales 0 ---> 1
