Fanatec CSW with GT4 on 60GB PS3

I've read that some Fanatec wheels can be used with Gran Turismo 4 on a backward compatible PS3. I'm trying to do with the my ClubSport wheel and no success so far. Looking for ideas/suggestions.

I think I tried my wheel once with GT4 on my old 80GB PS3. It was a while ago, but I think I got it to work when the wheel wasn't in PS3 mode.
