I have been told to make sure I have the correct old firmware for wheel and wheel base but I dont know what versions they are?

Can anyone please help me if you have found a solution to this!

I have the same setup as you, this is what I use to get rid of the shifting problem.

I like it, I’d definitely be interested whenever my V2.5 ever gives out. The main reason I didn’t buy the old one was because of the McLaren branding, I'm just not into that kind of stuff.

I guess it's just a reskinned McLaren GT3 wheel? Or is there actually anything new about it?

Some internal differences - the new wheel will not be supported on the older belt drive bases as the latest FW updates to recognize the “new” wheel are only for the DD bases

Happy to report the Simube QR2 has been flawless. I also never got stung on duty in the end! It’s been a great buy, and much cheaper than the OG fanatec parts.

I also invested in a Clubsport DD+ not had much time on it yet, but the transition was very smooth, just a firmware update to do on the base and qr.

Also the Simube stuff worked fine so far with the Fanatec parts on the new base.

I’d recommend to NOT update the FW until you’ve used it for a while and then review the feedback for the various versions after the FW that is already installed

Especially 474 and the new app - the FF was changed not for the better - high speed oscilation is back big time

Certain versions are required for certain wheels and fixes tho

Having only got the bog standard wheel when I got my first DD Wheel last year I been thinking about a new one and that CSL one looks fine to me, it’d be about £170 new off their website which sounds like an absolute bargain, I’m not a uber serious sim racer but I have got a pretty decent set up and would be nice to have something new for when Project Motor Racing releases 🤔
