I installed the 1.5.1.2 FW on my DD+ going from 1.4.2.3 - I skipped the next 2 which had issues

I found the FFB improved after the +NM jump in 1.4.2.3 w a bit more feel w low/mid forces balanced against peak

I was slightly concered about potential thermal issues, but the next updates broke the button maps - those are now fixed for PBME w the latest

The app is still meh and kept trying to “fix” my wheel until it finally connected. FW installed ok

No disconnects in GT7 after a few hours of use so far - but only my experience - ymmv

the CSL DD/DD Pro update has the big overload shutdown issue but lowering FFB and/or FEI seems to help - still better to wait on that one

Still feels as good as the previous firmware?

My biggest concern is if we have to update the base to work with the new pedals. I have a Podium DD1 that works flawlessly, but it's on an old (very old) software application - version 447. I do not want to flash the firmware on my DD1 and have it bricked. Scary time in the Fanatec ecosystem.

the latest Hotfix release 1.5.2.3 is out to fix the CSL DD/Pro shutdown issue w the stronger torque

also another try on fixing button module disconnects for the CS DD/+ which affects some people still - not mine though so haven’t bothered w this one

So far most are happier now, but the big issue is those using the H-shifter w GT7 are experiencing “stick drift” which is activating menus unintented

The workaround is switch to sequntial mode on the shifter before driving then switch back when in the car - fine in 2d but in VR does not solve the issue as this adjusts the hud settings

Read the known issues before upgrading

Well, that sucks! Was hoping to maybe get away with updating the driver but not the base firmware. I want the pedals but don't want to have to buy a new base to do so.
If you are just on PC and connect the pedals directly using USB the new app should be enough - the base FW is needed when connecting the pedals to the base to support console use and the on wheel tuning features

Unfortunately, I'm just on PS5. I'm waiting to see if they are going to get the PS5 chip in the new podium base.

Lots of complaints about FFB quality/detail for the PDD - sounds like months before that’s sorted but it will eventually

people w both say the DD+ is better atm and at 18nm I don’t really need more so personally not seeing a chipped PDD as compelling enough other than build quality maybe

I wish I can get something truly quality from Fanatec: DD that is working and doesnt break, a wheel and pedals. And let me be expensive if it will work and not break. I need to rely on it
