Don’t know what your budget is, but its the DD Pro that’s affected. The added Torque & Full force are causing the HW to run near the limit w settings turned up so they and/or PD need to put in some limiters

The DD+ has plenty of extra headroom if you can swing it and is not affected by this particular issue w the DD Pro
Just on the DD pro - I play with FFB at around 50 on wheelbase and 5 in game, and last night I had FUL on zero, and I still had total loss of force feedback. So nowhere near maxxed out. So the fix suggested by fanatec doesn’t completely solve the problems.

Planning on rolling back firmware today but need to read up on how to do it, what version etc!

Now testing with 100% FullForce and ffb ingame at max, BUT trigger effect turned off in-game. So far works, but need to test longer..

Edit.
Above worked for few hours, but then the base just shut down. I think the issue might not be about FullForce after all, but the increased holding torque. Putting FF to 100 and in-game FFB streght to 10 actually makes FFB more "rattly", and thus the constant holding force is lower. Now I turned wheelbase ffb from 100 to 90 and everything is a lot more smooth and natural. Havent had issues yet with base ffb on 90 - will report back if it stays that way.

I hope I don't curse my setup by saying this but I have not experienced any such disconnections or loss of FFB since the update came out. I'm not saying it's not there as even Fanatec admitted it is an issue, but thankfully I have not experienced it (yet?). I have FullForce at 100 with in-game FFB at 7 and 1.

Fanatec has substituted similiar but supposedly equivalent components in their production runs based on parts availability so some units are right on, others are much closer to the edge on spec, either over or under, but worked fine before

But the new FW w update changes in 1.71 works the base harder, pushing them right up to the design limit - affecting those that really don’t meet spec

Maurice has posted on the Fanatec forum that they understand the issue and are testing a fix for release in the next week or so

Hopefully that will resolve the problem w/o compromising performance too much

What is your FFB setting in the base?

Are these problems only with the GT DD Pro or also with the DD+ ?
