Yes, the fan works! I can hear it and feel the air but just a *little*! They did not put a nice heavy fan for 100%FF / 100%Shock.

Seems to be running smoother since I turned down to 80%FF / 60%Shock

Too be honest, for this wheel these small sacrifices are OK.. The wheel is very precise and my driving skill has increased. (speaking from previously owning a G27 and also driving other wheels)

I also have the idea to pull off the top case cover!

I'm glad to say I will receive a part of my order on Tuesday. I ordered the GT3 RSV2 CSE and the shifter set, on december 4th.

BUT, I just learned that another french customer ordered the shifter set on january 1st, and received it 10 days after, while they told me mine won't be shipped before february...

Another testimony of the really strange logistics of Fanatec...

You really have to do something about it. It's been a whole year now that you said you would improve the way you managed orders, and still some big issues.

It's not that important, since everybody receive his order soon or late, but it's pretty annoying.

edit : mea culpa, the guy actually ordered the GT2 pack, on december, and received the shifter after his wheel and pedals.

So shifters are in stock? So maybe the holdup is no longer shifters but maybe too many GT2 wheels were sold separately so not enough wheels to fill clubsport orders....wish I knew what the exact honest issue is.

I saw a picture on another forum where a guy had cut a hole in the top of his case cover and mounted a fan in there. It looked fine to me and i'm sure it cooled things down completely. No warranty anymore though,lol. Not sure if he simply used the oem fans power connector or found another one in there somewhere.

Considering the price and the reliability of the wheels like G27 and DFGT I would really not be happy for doing this.

After paying a bit of a premium for a premium product like the GT2 it should be as reliable as the logitech wheels.

Well after I canceled my order, I decided I at least wanted the ClubSport pedals. So I ordered those this morning and already have information they are shipping. Then I realized I don't really use Forza. I rarely even use my PS3 since I have a good triple-screen PC setup (and much better sims). So then I thought, "Why the hell don't I just pick up the GT3 RS V2?" It seems to be so deep in production now that they have probably ironed out most its issues. So I did. I just ordered the GT3 wheel. Then I thought that now I want the stand again..and a clamp..lol. And this time I reordered everything separately...lol. Although the pedals have shipped, the wheel still shows "Pending". Hopefully I will see them change to "Delivered" status on Monday or Tuesday since the webshop said nothing about the GT3 RS V2 being out of stock.

I also decided to cancel my GT2 order (originally ordered Dec 15th) due to the delays and because I just don't play forza that much anymore. If this was last Christmas, I probably wouldn't have made this same decision but, like MisterStatic, I primarily play PC sims and GT5 so what's the point in dropping $150+ and waiting 2 more months for a wheel to play a game I barely touch anymore.

Thanks for your comments MisterStatic. I now will only have to wait 2 or less weeks to receive my stuff instead of mid-march!

Your welcome. Let's cross our fingers so something crazy doesn't happen with the GT3 stock on hand. Now THAT would be a comedy of errors!
 
There was a Ferrari California delivered to my next door neighbor today, but it happened in front of my house because of the geometry of the street. For a second I thought Thomas was sending a consolation prize bigger than a mouse:-)

So my neighbor gets a Ferrari on time and I am still waiting for a damn fake steering wheel, lol.

Yeah, something like that. He is a neurosurgeon, I just pretend to have brains;-)

Back on topic...I think I still may pick up a GT2 for May so that I have it for Forza4. Hell, maybe I should pick up more since there is bound to be a colossal demand that isn't met on release of Forza4;-)

Thanks for the information! Can you link me? Don't waste your time searching if you can't find it quick! Maybe just a tip how to find it 💡

As an update, turning down the FF/Shock did in fact help! I did not crash after a few hours driving!

I will keep you guys updated if I do the mods.
 
Looks like my GT2 and CSP are mere minutes away in customs as of this morning.

Once the delivery date is set I'm going to take the day off to be sure I get it. I drive an MX5 and when I bought my G25 I couldn't fit the box in the trunk or in the front seat with my girlfriend in it! :D

Just figured I would start updating my situation in this thread as I am seeing some familiar faces from the Fanatec fan site forums.
 
Good news (for me). My GT3. RS wheel stand, and clamp have all changed from pending to processing. If it follows the same pattern as the pedals, I should see a delivered status in an hour or so.

It's unlikely that you'll see the wheel stand. They'll probably just make a partial shipment. I'm waiting on a wheelstand as well.
 
I should be getting my Clubsport pedals today. UPS said the weather kept them from delivering them on Friday. Apparently the sun was too bright for them.

Hey Talus I thought they UPS'd it right to you or something since your order was 'lost'?

Miy CSP + GT2 has cleared customs yesterday and I should be expecting delivery tomorrow.

I really hope it shows up.
 
My CSP were delivered this morning, they look amazing and pretty heavy !!

Now I just only have to wait 6 weeks for my GT2 wheel ... :ill:
