My CSP were delivered this morning, they look amazing and pretty heavy !!

Now I just only have to wait 6 weeks for my GT2 wheel ... :ill:

Yeah and that is what I mean with "ordering seperately is totaly BS"... Whats the point to get only the wheel or only the pedals? Not only you pay much much more to order seperately but it´s useless as well...

Well, I appreciate the info. Hopefully I'll see an email saying mine is being sent out now ;)

Well, my orders are back to paid/pending. Oh the mysteries of the Fanatec webshop...At least I have UPS tracking information that the CSPs will be here tomorrow.

I just emailed Kate the contact for US-Canada web shop. She told me they have no RennSport stands in stock but are expecting more products in soon and will let me know if they will be included in the new shipment.

Well as far as that goes Sony themselves say you should avoid large tv screens and take a 15 minute break every hour.

Also say to avoid playing when you are tired or need sleep, hmmm not sure what the difference is there.

But the good news is they do not say anything about not drinking beer while you play. :)

I'm sure that is a CYA point as far as length of time used. Probably in the fine print of every FFB wheel I would imagine. I've run my GT2 for many long sessions of 6hrs or more now without a problem. I really wouldn't focus on it lol. But I'm sure some of you will hahaha!!!!

I'm not saying that people aren't being honest at all. I'm saying that the fine print in the manual is not an important thing as there are disclaimers in any wheel, TV, game manual etc...

A couple of people might have a issue, which I'm sure is not a normal thing and probably needs to be fixed. But, I am saying that the average buyer shouldn't really have to worry about that one hour statement unless there's a problem with the wheel.

Sucks. According to Thomas' blog post those were to arrive Dec 31. Those from what I understand have been out of stock since sometime in November. I have one on order from early December.

Thomas was to get back to me with info on delivery, haven't heard back yet.

true. but do you think its something they might deny a warranty claim on?

How would they know how long you had used it?

Anyway, my new order also went from pending to processing to paid/pending. My old order has not yet been canceled or refunded.

Assuming it turns out to be true, I am going to start the "I survived ordering from Fanatec" support group.

I think the Fanatec site lists something about Dec.31 but his blog says Jan.7th for USA (just read that). So if that Jan.7 still stands then add 2 weeks for customs clearance means they should be good to go on around the 21st.

Bingo.

It is their out. And it is obvious they need one as QC is again patchy.

It would be nice if ALL points of view about the performance of various products where supported - it just appears that once a person has a "good" experience, they are never again open to possibility that the product may have major issues at times.

Even main stream products like the PS3 and XB360 suffered long term damage due to poor design that resulted in overheating from normal operations - yet still to this day there are Sony and M$ fans refuse to acknowledge either ;)

How would they prove that you used it for longer than an hour?

I think it's just a liability issue. My wii tells me to take a break every hour, and my sofa says I am not allowed to tear off that tag.

But guess what, don't tell anyone RC45, but I played for over an hour and nintendo didn't find out!

Also RC45, saying that MS and sony ignore the problems with their consoles is an outright lie.

The 360 has a 3 year warranty for the hardware issue you are talking about. It was increased from 1 year to 3 years after so many people were affected.

How you can claim that they ignored it is beyond me. I've personally had my xbox replaced 3 times without a single penny put down.

Well I'm not sure who your "FANS" are but I'm not one of them. I'm a happy customer. Are there legitimate issues? Yes. It's a brand new product that's expected. Have I denied the existence of issues? No but I have said some people such as you RC are there lurking to blow everything out of proportion

Lol BTW: I really do like playing on the Xbox 360 but I'll also tell everyone in the world I've had 6 of them die on me. Also had a PS3 replaced as well.

:sly: Make t-shirts then back-order them for 2 months, then re-neg and send them a month after that, then make them with a faulty tag that cuts the back of your neck everytime you wear it........after you make us all pay up front, of course :sly:

And don't ever wear the shirt for over an hour, unless you cut off the sleeves and make a wife-beater of it...which voids the warranty:sly:

Well my CSP and GT2 were delivered today but no one was home. I will have them tomorrow by 1pm :D

I'm a happy camper, as far as everything Thomas told me it was truthful.

I did happen to be one of the lucky ones who somehow placed his order late enough to not get caught in the CSE fiasco, but earlier enough to get their last shipment of GT2s.

I guess time will tell if it was worth the struggle. I can tell you one thing though, if it doesn't work out of the box I'll be hard pressed not to just take a refund... I'm not sure I could go through the communication and confusing waits again.

How can they prove youused it for more than an hour? They don't need to prove anything, onus and burden of proof is on the party claiming warranty repair, not th eother way round - they can simply state "You over exposed the unit to heat.Warranty claim denied." It is really that simple.

Also, I really don't think this is the way it works. How many times have people dropped a product or left it out in the rain only to return it and HOPE that they don't find any water damage on the PCB? I know I've done it.

If a product is under warranty and it stops working then you send it in and they would have to prove that you used it in a way that the warranty would not cover.

How can the onus of proof be on the consumer when we have no way of prooving anything? And you also cannot prove a null hypothesis. If you are trying to argue that you did NOT use it for an hour straight, the onus of proof is on THEM not you. You cannot prove you did not use it for an hour, they can only prove that it was used for an hour.

So I guess Fanatec have lied when they claimed GT5 compatibility.

GT5 includes enduros of more than 2 hours long. If they only officially support FFB for use of 1 hour or less then Fanatec have clearing engaged in deceptive marketing practices claiming GT5 support.

My frustration level with Fanatec just went from "mildly irritated but somewhat satisfied" to "really peeved".

Are these folks for real?

They can't deliver product regularly, the product they do deliver is iffy and then their own product cant be used for the length of time the games they claim compatibility, with require?

Hey, Fanatec, What the Hell man??? **big ears**

Right and read my latest post. Now its dead :(

Thing is... driving for the short time there is more precision and control. I will miss the wheel but the G27 just works! :dunce:

I just hope fanatec replaces me!! :yuck:
Wish me luck... I guess I will see if they want to upgrade me to the GT3. Maybe that is better designed.

Yay, my status has changed to delivered, (GT3 RS). Hopefully i get it by friday, before all the assignments deadlines start closing in 💡

Has anyone received a shipping update on the Rennsport Wheelstand v2?

Delayed as well, I assume . Thomas's Blog said they received a shipment on Jan 7th.

I ordered one on Dec 7th. No change (still paid/pending) over a month later.

Sad you really can't trust any upadates any more. It's just one excuse after another.

I had one on order but canceled to get an obutto instead. Fanatec support told me "later January" for the wheelstand.

Yeah. I get my ClubSports today. But-- and this is going to sound fickle -- if I don't get notice that at least my GT3RS is shipping today, I am done with Fanatec and will ask for a refund for everything but the CSPs. My point is the webshop said the wheel was in stock. Like you said, faddish, the updates are unreliable information at best. And then to top it all off, quality issues (not the CSPs) are a big concern. I was willing to try it out for myself, but if I don't get the notice in a few hours I am out.

Let me add that I just ordered a Lightning SST yesterday. I will get it by Thursday. I have already received shipping notice, their maintenance and service record is impeccable, and they too are one of these small companies. That is the way business should happen.

I asked Thomas late last week, it said he would update his blog shortly. I will likely follow up Thursday if we don't hear anything. I ordered mine on the 6th.

The Jan 7 date is when it arrives in the US. However there could be shipping delays, add in customs time and delivery to final destination and then delivery to customer.

Regular updates given the circumstances would be very nice. As in Thomas should update if the shipment has indeed arrived and then when it has cleared customs and again when shipping to customers begins.
