I first played NFS shift on the PC.. It was poor but after some tweaking it played great, and I really enjoyed it. So I decided to pick it up from the second hand bin for the PS3 platform.. I'm using the same wheel on the PC (Fanatec 911TS) and it's like driving through an interpreter (a poor one at that) on the PS3!!

It feels poor, cars have no grip..theres little feedback, Does anyone have recommended settings for a fanatec wheel with this game on a PS3.

I'm looking for wheel and game settings.

Hope someone's got some suggestions.

Thanks

GSL

Did you mod the grip on the PC version? Can't do that on consoles..

Perhaps you still have the PC files? Perhaps you could look up your settings from that, and try to experiment with them on the console...

No I didn't apply any of the mods on the PC version.. although I think I will, I was hoping I could perhaps go down that road of one console to rule them all... LOL perhaps Not.

On the PC version, you have three variables.. The driver settings, the wheel settings and the game settings!!

surely someone has this game for a PS3 and has a fanatec wheel?
or is my summary correct.. it feels rubish with that wheel and game/console combination!!!

testers? anyone :)

Cheers and thanks for the thoughts.

I'm using a Fanatec Carrera wheel on PS3. The sliding problem you are having is a game issue not the wheel. I had the same exact problem when I used to use my G25 with this game.

To fix it, go into Options > Gameplay > Driving

Handling model: normal
Steering assist: low
Brake assist: off
ABS: on
TC: Low
Stability control: on

Start there and back off assists to suit your tastes. I find that the one that makes the most impact is the steering assist though.

try Drift mode at a higher setting. For pc, i use 4. and try between 200 and 400 degrees rotation. 0 ln, 0deadzone. Also, you may want to make sure you are on the latest firmware. 0 damper. 0 spring. the newest firmware allows you to change spring on the wheel.

Does the spring setting on the wheel control the "rebound"? For example if you are turning hard left, once you come out of the turn the wheel resets itself right so that it is straight again. Similar to how a real car powersteering is after you turn.

that will return the wheel to center regardless of what is happening in the game, i think. so i have it set to 0 and let the game tell the wheel what to do.
