Fanatecs GT2/GT3/CSR basic wheels are supposed to be a step above a DFGT, more on par with the G27, thanks to stronger and belt driven FFB. They used to have a cheaper gear drive wheel that was a direcy DFGT competitor, but they don't make it anymore.
The big advantage/disadvantage with Fanatec is that the wheels don't include pedals, giving you a choice of 3 sets, CSR basic, CSR Elite and Clubsport, and they range in price, so if you have a hankering for really nice pedals, you can spend a couple hundred extra and have them.
