The collision physics arn't as realistic as the driving physics unfortunately. But LFS S2 is still a superb game. I've been playing R Factor, it's good, not as good as LFS S2 but theres a good mod community building for it.

i'm hoping rfactor will become the gran turismo for the pc in terms of cars and tracks. hopefully things wont get messy like with gpl.

I just don't like the feel of rFactor, somehow. I think i'll stay loyal to LFS, but who knows, maybe it's awesome with a DFP. I guess i'll find out soon

It feels a bit more sluggish than LFS, I don't know maybe it's just the earlier cars before you mod them to hell. Theres little things that are better like you can give the car launch control and it's up to you to lift the clutch off the line instead of it being done for you and the car modding is a nice addition to get you involved in the game bit more. I've got the FFB setup on my DFP well, it works good with RFactor.

^ could u send me ur settings? i mean the setting file? i cant get it to feel as good as lfs... plus the nurburgring isnt out yet or any of my fav tracks last time i checked... so the game isnt on my hard drive.

Well their physics are effed. Sometimes if you hit a wall at a specific angle at maybe 10-20mph you go flying across the track. And other times if you hit a wall at 120 you might just bounce backward maybe 10 feet...

due to lag maybe.

I played for about an hour yesterday and just couldnt get the tires to stick when entering the corners. I messed with the tire settings the whole time and suspension but couldn't dial it in. I was using some RWD car for the room I was in. I am at work so im not sure what the car was.
I see there are 2 different tires that would have worked. Hybrid and I think the others were Sport Hard?

lol there are some extremely fast keyboard racers out there. i dont know about with the formula V8, but with other cars i've been beaten by a few kb racers before..
