EDIT: Mine did 320k by now and is still running... the edge of the contraption didn't even leave more than a wheel's width off the zone!
I just logged a 263738.

How's that 320000 fairing?

TB, hows the longest bit coming along? I'm kinda stuck, haven't beat my 143k yet - they all keep tanking halfway through...

100000+ and just now out of the build area. :D

Fingers crossed it doesn't snap on me now.

I found that a good anti-snap measure is creating a slightly-flexible triangle between the two most extreme sides of the contraption.

Also, this is where my previous attempt was, minutes before it went backwards...

18.6 hours!!!!!!!:crazy::crazy::crazy: Holy sh:censored:!!!!!!!!!!

What did you do, build it at night, hit start and go to bed, in the morning go to work, and then check it after dinner?

G.T
What's all these scores people keep posting???

When in game. Run your contraption (you dont have to) and hit 't'. In the bottom right a timer appears. Seconds, and right next to it, no decimal place is milliseconds.

I would, but since I'm still in a contest with Metar, I'll hold off on that. Rest assured that the time is legit, though. :)

How, pray tell, did you come up with that? Dividing by 600 is not correct.

If you start a contraption (like this one) and time it with a stop watch, that will give you the conversion you need. The linked contraption takes 611 whatever the hell they are's. Timed with a stopwatch, that comes out to 30.01 averaged over 3 runs. We'll round to 30 since I'm only human and my reaction time ain't what she used to be. So... every 30 on the counter is one second. Divide 671808 by 30 = 22393.6 seconds. Divide by 60 = 373.22 minutes. Divide by 60 = 6.22 hours = 6 hours 13 minutes 16 seconds.

Not quite. See long, drawn out explanation above. :p

I divided by 60... But i took of that last number because that is the millisecond. If you took it off when you posted...well then thats where it all went wrong :p

Just realised where I went wrong. The timer in-game counts to fast to be any form of time measurement easily worked out into seconds.

The in-game counter depends on the speed of your machine - it counts the number of calculation-steps (updates to the contraption) carried out, basically.

Now I've got to catch up... I've got something up my sleeve, I'll have to see if it works.

Not in the human sense - it doesn't count seconds or their derivatives. It counts the number of "update-ticks" - the number of frames, basically.

So essentially, TB's remarkable 600k contraption took that many "frames" - updates to the physics - to get the piece to the goal.

I'm currently with a sunburn, and just got home from the grocery store preparing for a party, why? :p

Run, wait three days, post screenie.
