Uh yes check the PS3 forum for info. Now I need to get a new mouse as its not good to control the game with a joystick.

Some of the simple and elegant designs people have done just floor me. Make me feel foolish.

OTOH, the Rube Goldberg stuff keeps me going. That's where I like to play!

My 4 Balls, a conveyor.

Backwards combine for Awash.

A different approach to Handling from others I've seen.

2-stage solution to Big Ball. My best Rube-ism.

Except for this one in Back and Forth.

This one just floored me. No motors!! (Not mine)

No, I think I'll leave Eternity alone.

Moving that goal piece should add, what, 2 days?

There should be a pool. Have guesses as to how much longer it runs with the piece moved, entries due in a couple days so nobody can steal it and test it. Winner gets. . . . I dunno, recognition or something.

Edit: Do all the wheels weight the same, inert ones and powered ones. And does that goal piece weigh the same? Now I have to go build a balance and test them.

It would appear to me that they are all the same, except for the rotation factor, of course.

Hey, here ya go. If I can get this Tube runner tuned just exactly right, it won't be the longest to goal, but I might just get longest running. It eventually comes to rest at the top. Little tiny adjustments either make it just a tiny bit better, or they make it useless.

Click "Back" at the Victory! menu and keep watching, you'll see what all the watery rods are for.

Edit: Added: here's a different take I had on the Mars Mission: One motor

That one led me to: this one! Talk about epic boredom. . . The whole thing just hangs there. Everything that got added meant it had to be rebalanced. What I really like is the extra hit at the end, which was accidental. I got a lucky trajectory trying to correct something else in the timing.

More additions: I've decided to look at 1 motor (or less) wherever I can do it. Here's a no-motor Mind the Gap, and here's a psycho 1-motor for the same level. For the psycho, click "Back" when it's done and keep watching. Also, zoom all the way out. And, a slight mod of the psycho motor.

Lets start with the first one. Every sentence is the next contraption.

It is simple and everyone does it...

That is slightly different to all the others I have seen.

Definitely never seen that before and I like it.:sly:

Different take on all the other designs I have seen.👍

So simple yet I never thought of it:tup:

That is incredibly well done::)tup:

Its cool:tup:

Once again, Never would have thought of that:tup:

Overly complicated but well done:tup:

Simple as:)

As for the last two, Ill let everyone else decide...

Wow! Very creative!👍

I still need to get back into this game but bad luck for me that LBP is out today and I'm buying it. Expect me to be off the PC for a few days.

That's seriously cool.

Here's a few simple and perhaps unorthadox (back then at least) contraptions I made in August.

interesting on a roll method

A little balancing act on over the drop

Took a fair bit of tinkering to get up the stairs to work well with this method.

My skates method makes over the hump look easy :D

But by far my favorite design is Bump and run which took lots tiny adjustments to make it work correctly.

Some of the 1-motor and gravity contraptions I built yesterday.

On a roll, not only no motors, but no wheels

Full-up, no motors

Higher, no motors

Around the bend, just a ramp

Up the Hump, 1 motor

Big Ball, 1 motor. I wasn't sure one motor could throw hard enough, but I was able to get a lucky bounce.

Down under, no motors. Took a fair bit of time to get the chain the right length and to get it to settle correctly at the start.

Handling, 1 motor

Great game! Check out how I did 'Up the stairs'.

Edit: And Big Ball!

Oh and SolidSnake, I laughed heaps at your one, very creative...

Never seen it before.

Hahaha...

MY GOD!!!! HOW DID YOU GET THAT TO FLY?!?!?! :scared:

We've all seen that done with no motors before...but that is different.

Bit boring, been done before.

Interesting and I never would have thought of it:tup:

Lol, that is cool:)👍

Once again, there is a much simpler solution (try it with no pieces)

H4x. That is cheating :p

Good shot!!!

A bit dull but it works:tup:

Now this is just completely epic...

Now for my own handling design.

Not Acceptable

But its fixed now:

Alright!

Back and Forth, but just barely!

And instead of a gravity bridge (to minimize number of motors) how about this one, which not only goes to the target object, reverses, and reaches the goal, it then reverses again and dumps the object off the beginning end!

Back at last! TB, I must say that is one hell of an achievement. I suspect my design might be able to itch into the 10s of millions with some extra dead weight, and perhaps even beat yours with a finely-calculated backwards force, but I really don't think I should try. 17 million.

With a suspension bridge, you can drive to Mars.

I've put myself in a "cram everything into the start box" mood again, and I'm enjoying needless complexity and close timing just for the hell of it.

I got yer triangles right here!

Why build a bridge when a well-timed catch and throw will do?

Another unpossible catapult

The very first level, just to be strange. I like strange.

Evel Knievel comes up short again in one of his motorcycle jumps, over the wall.
