Terronium-12I've just been all over since getting the game, but I've finally unlocked the F2000 for free but I've yet to use it - still too busy goofing off.![]()

Game responds very well to CPU overclock; you might try that.
Sucks you can't get it running 100%.
F2000? I haven't come across that?
Edit - Ah, think you mean the FAMAS F1.
Well I bought Far Cry 3 last night, started playing it around midnight, and "shortly" after checked the clock on my phone...
04:34...
In my opinion, it's a top 3 game of the year, and i've just started! 👍
Started playing, and I just couldn't stop until I realised; Im going to work in a couple hours!![]()
Haha yeah, I thought the same, but I gave in...And that is the exact reason I really can not buy this game. I already know that it will suck me in way too much.![]()
Oh yeah, got the CPU at 4.5ghz. No issues there. It's definitely in the graphics cards. The 3 GPU's are going into a state where the clock speeds are dipping down to the ~400mhz range instead of sitting at 630mhz where they should be under load. It's weird when it happens, makes no sense to me. If I keep playing, the 3 GPU's will jump back up to 630mhz and my frame rates are back.
At 1920x1200 resolutions on ultra, when all 4 gpus are running at 630mhz, my frames are in the 120fps range.
Seems to be a bug in the game.
I'm running 2560x1600 almost all maxed out at solid 60FPS, only if I get near one of them online trial stones, my frame rate drops by 20 to 30 FPS.
Next Patch will come fast I assume![]()
PakoYep. Came home at lunch to try some things out. Disabled Quad SLI and just running the one card in SLI. I had to drop my resolution to 1920x1200 but am getting a solid 70+FPS even in fights. My Core clock speeds were solid at 630mhz with no voltage drops. Running Quad SLI, Voltages would drop when the 3 out of the 4 gpu's would go down to ~400mhz. EVGA tells me to wait for new drivers. While I wait for drivers, 1920x1200 still looks good and is very playable, especially with solid frame rates. The graphics don't suffer near as bad as other games in this lower resolution so I'm happy for now. Hope they get the driver figured out soon enough.
Couple Screen shots for fun:
Here's a shot at the low 1920x1200 resolution:
@Bram Turismo, No. It's a different engine. Revamped from the new engine that was developed for Far Cry 2. I think the water still looks better in the original Far Cry on the Crytek engine then what is seen here. Don't get me wrong, it looks good, but to carry the badge "Far Cry" it should be better graphically, IMO. The Crytek engine is just amazing. Takes some horse power to run, but it is as close to photorealism as it gets. FC3 does not look photorealistic by today's standards.
Goddammit I know my wife has bought me this for Christmas and it's in the house somewhere.
Should I snoop around and hopefully find and install it.
Nah couldn't do it, that would be a bit too dishonest.
💡 Perhaps I could trade her for one of her presents I have hidden.
Cheers Shaun.
Vaas is such an excellent villain. Anyone else agree?
