"Hey guys......aren't you meant to be shooting me?"
It wasn't until I shot the driver in the eye with an arrow the other dude decided to get off his ass to try and kill me.

im wearing the enemies cloths now,but i went to a build on the shore that said restricted and they started to attack me....what the hell

Yeah, those are the bases you can capture to make fast travel locations. You still need to capture those, hence why they attack you. Anywhere else on that island that isn't red on the minimap or marked as a red flag on the map is okay, they won't attack you.

I'm so close to finishing the story, I just finished the mission where I had to
interrogate and punish Jason's younger brother.

Considering buying this, is it worth it?

If you're even considering it, it's worth it. It was barely a thought in the back of my mind and it's probably the best video game purchase I have made in a very long time.

Has anyone else had this problem? I run triple screens but wanted to see what far cry looked at maxed out on one screen. I switched the ingame res to 1920x1080 and it switched to one screen but it's still trying to show it as 3 screens stretched out on the single screen. The middle of the screen everything is really skinny and it gets wider and wider as you look toward the edges of the screen.

Nvidia or ATI?

With Nvidia, you are set to "span display with surround". You would need to change this setting in the Nvidia Control Panel.

ATI? No idea, but my guess would in the Catalyst software and adjust your Eyefinity settings.

Yup. I tinkered with Eyefinity a couple of times a couple of months ago, and if you are using an ATi card, bevo, then it's pretty easy to set up and get what you want, where you want it.

He is running dual Nvidia gpu's.

You just need to disable surround in your driver software; possibly even log off/reboot for the changes to take effect and then start the game. I have a lot of problems (especially in Windows 8 ) when switching between triples and single display without a log off/reboot. Far Cry 3 is no exception.

Also, has anyone played the monkey business pack (or whatever the hell its called); if so how is it, and how long is it?

I actually switched to a single 4gb 670. I got it figured out. It was just like you said, just had to disable surround in Nvidia and everything was fine for single screen. I think that's the first time I've tried going single screen on a game that offered triples so that's the first time I ran into that problem. I couldn't really tell much of difference though between the settings I had for triples and the maxed out settings for a single screen. I probably could with some screen shots, but not from my memory of just switching back and forth.

I also take back everything I have said about Vram not being that important. Far cry 3 and several other games run better with the single less powerful 670then the sli 570s. I don't get the FPS as with 2 570s but I can turn the graphics up a good bit higher that would push the Vram of the 570s and make them just crash.

The 670 had about 5 fps lower then the 570s at the same settings but if I increased the 570s at all textures would get bad or i would just crash, with the single 670 I can use AA and turn up several settings that push Vram that the 570s couldn't handle. I should add this is with triple screens.

I've got another 670 on the way and I'm guessing they should be able to max out Far cry on triples and keepp me in the 40s or so. Anything above 35 or so FPS for me is fine in shooters.

Does anyone have problem with the sound when there is a cutscene and you (Jason) and some others are talking?

I mean, everything else is fine, both gameplay and soundwise... But the cutscenes has no sound...

Is it a common problem? Any fixes?

Took some more photos. This game is way too easy to not do anything of relevance and still get things done.

Has anyone taken a look at the web series, The Far Cry Experience? Michael Mando (Vaas) is... he's too good at playing a maniacal nutbag.

My god I love this game. Played about two hours worth mostly just running around like an ass.

Also went hunting for some tapir and upon arriving at the hunting ground saw a tiger (which at first I thought was a leopard) chasing a pig. So I shot all five SVD rounds into it and it killed the pig, turning on me. I had about 18 AK47 rounds left so fired the rest of those into it, hardly phasing it. All the while my gunfire was attracting two jeeps full of pirates and some people who were just standing around. So I'm completely out of ammo, with my trusty machete swinging at a tiger in a desperate attempt to survive with bullets flying all around me. But it was futile and the stupid tiger killed me. :(

Just finished exploring island 1 and continued the story to island 2.
It's like two games in one, after the climax on island 1 the story throws you on island 2 and the fun continues.

It's a shame the second island doesn't take very long to complete though :(.

I'm not on the second island yet, but can you go back to the first one if you have been on the second one?

Wouldn't want to mis letters, arthefacts etc. on island 1

This game is crazy. I've got over 6 hours into it now and have only done one mission and gotten 2 towers. I just can't make myself do missions. Until I get tired of watching tigers attack things and crocodiles mull people I may never accomplish anything.

This is awesome, this game actually runs completely fine on my 2,5 year old laptop on medium settings!

I left the house for about an hour to do some shopping, and as I came back I caught my little brother already playing his own savegame killing enemies like a baws! Talk about being a fast learner!
