Doenst matter if the battery is in or out. Lithium Ion Battery’s will pop if not used. Some people’s are fine because they still charge and use theirs. Mine and a lot of other peoples haven’t been used in a long while so are starting to swell.

when I checked mine last night, it had come out all of its own accord.

I meant to avoid an accident and damage to your PSP

Finding newly made OEM ones is probably impossible now but eBay has loads of compatible ones. I would probably stay clear of OEM old ones for sale for obvious reasons :lol:

I actually looked last night and Amazon has some for sale. I need one now. However I might wait till I have a real need to play it again.
 
Just checked mine and yep, also swelled and can't fit in the device anymore. Thankfully it doesn't leak and do anymore damage to the unit. Considering I haven't even looked at my PSP since 2011, I count myself lucky :lol:

Not in a rush to buy a replacement battery as I have a low likelihood of playing anything. Only bought it for GTPSP back in the day and got bored pretty quickly once GT5 came out.

Mine actually looks OK, I might even charge it for a kick-about on Pro Evo.
