Is this movie ever going to happen?

Yes it is, and I don't think it will suck. It could, but give it a chance.
I mean, sure, the film has some trash potential and the story certainly won't be oscar like, but they want to avoid too much CGI which is good imo, they want to show real drifts and that is good, isn't it ? If they don't mess up the engine sound that film could mean 2 hours of fun for automotive fans.

FF1 was a good film imo, the 2nd part sucked and the third one sounds good imo. There is some potential and the rice factor might be very low compared to the prequels, since we are in Japan ( not as ricy as the import szence in the USA) and we are not drag racing.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I'll give the film a chance nevertheless.

I thought the same thing, but when comparing the front clips look different.

Edit: but looking at the forum link you posted one of the pics in the guys sig, of the gold car, has the same white s2000 with the carbon fenders. I think he parted off some of the pieces and someone he knew rebuilt the car.

These are the only cars they didn't **** up. The rest of them are pure 100% rice and it's sickening. I'll still not watch this movie only because of the fact that the series is rediculous and can't seriously appeal to anyone not into the rice/drift "scene". That M6 and Silvia are sexy.

I disagree. Most of the vehicles aren't rice, in that photoshoot. The only one that stands out as "rice" would be the G35, and possibly the pickup, but I see those as heavy-duty show cars with show in mind.

So the fact that it is a supra makes it rice ?
Don't love the kit either and the doors are "poserstyle" but lambo dorrs are not rice imo, this element has neither an Asian origin nor is it found in typical riced out cars. It's a poser accessoire of the rich or whatever... ugly? Yes I think so. Rice ? Nope

If they're in Japan, I guarantee you they are going to put cars like this in the movie...

So much for a lack of rice...

But nice pics posted before; very nicely modified cars (with some obvious exceptions).
